seems to be. Using the cloudflare cdn on top?

Also imunify360 installed at server level is worth checking out

I've had two occasions when loading took forever before terminating - once about 5am, the other just after 9

No negatives at my laptop, an unscientific improvement in performance based on a very small sample.

Tested going via a VPN and that worked ok.

I’ll let you know if I see any of those arsey “click here so we know you’re a human” intercepts which appear with some Cloudflare-enabled sites.

The GPG is quite dynamic content so a CDN isn't super helpful apart from images. The benefit will come from routing oprimisations as well as security features

How did it "terminate"?

I get occassional pages that are not served and then I give up waiting and hit "new posts" again.

Good thing is this means it might get some attention

After trying to refresh or clicking on other thread titles a ton of times, on the 1st two I got a "Looks like the GPG is unavailable. Press Reload or try again later". Pressing Reload then got it active again.

The 1346 one was like you described.

Last weekend I noticed Brentford weren't playing because of the international break. I experienced mild annoyance and a vague sense of loss.

Annoyingly stubborn loading several times this morning, with different devices in different locations.

I also notice that when I wake the screen on my desktop the GPG page (which is always open) is blank rather than populated, which is a new thing in the last few days. Of course it’s easy to refresh, but I’m used to seeing it either as I had left it or it having refreshed itself while the screen was off.

Since yesterday evening I seem to have had an irritating number of The requested page could not be loaded. responses. It’s quite random, though.

8:48 Clicked on the Brentford QPR 4-0 thread. Didn't load, Stopped and tried again about 4 times. Also clicked on threads that I hadn't accessed before and they loaded fine i.e at Post1.
8:51 Could access the 4-0 thread OK

Seems to be a general intermittent delay in pages loading on my mobile including when clicking on the lightning icon. Is taking longer to load pages again intermittently and I am using great WiFi at home so not a signal issue. It seems to happen for a couple if minutes and then fixes itself but then may return an hour later etc.

Hadn't noticed any difference to be honest, The GPG has always worked fine for me, Mind you I'm easily pleased as slow loading pages of some web content is hardly an issue for those of us of advanced years as we are still in awe of this new fangled thing called the tinternet!!!! 😊

Over the last few days I've had the same on my phone and also on my ethernet connected PC

I was hoping that the change I made overnight would fix the intermittant page loading issues. It appears not.

Our fantastic hosting company was taken-over a few months ago and they've made us move server to one that doesn't support IPv6, has no root access, and the 24hour support that is brilliant - the last example was them failing to register a domain and telling me it was because I needed to cleat my browser cache. So expect another server move soon everyone.

I've not personally had a problem all day. I wonder if Cloudflare is tuning in....

I haven't had any issues today. Prior to that I was seeing occasional long (or infinite?) load times for some pages.

It’s been good for me all day on Safari on iPad and iPhone.

A small upgrade to the GPG has been implemented. Cloudflare is also now doing it's thing with challenges (that tickbox you have to click sometimes).

Please let me know if you get to see it on the GPG. Thanks.

Yeah I think Chrome's feature of snoozing tabs that aren't being used is an issue. No concrete evidence however.

I also think it might be the host. So, as above, we'll be on the move soon I think,

First time I’ve had problem.
Took three attempts to open home page just now.
Using chrome on iPhone with iOS 18.7.1

Wouldn't reload for me on Samsung browser on my phone about 10:00.
About 30 second delay.
