Coach Reservation

I want to reserve 4 places on the coaches going to the valley but don't have my credit card with me, do i need to pay over the phone or will they let me reserve them seeing as i'm a ST holder and let me pay on the day?

If not i can get someone else to pay for me, it would just be less hassle if they did.

Get a train from Whitton to Waterloo, then walk to Waterloo East (5 mins), then get a train to Charlton. Job done. It will take around an hour and a quarter, and much quicker - and cheaper - than going by coach.

This is from Transport for London website and I have just rung them and they said the same, you have to go to London Bridge from Waterloo East as no direct trains on a saturday. Weeekdays they run but not weekends..anyone in the know for definite??!!

Any able bodied person under 55 with no kids in tow on one of these 12 coaches should hang their heads! :sad:

I think a lot of those coaches were Charlton coaches. Strangely, they run coaches to their home games in order to sweep up supporters from Kent. I believe it annoys Gillingham so it must be a good thing.

I believe 12 coaches went, personally I could not understand why until I was standing in the pouring rain at Charlton trying to get a train back to L. Bridge,
For people local to Brentford, I suppose it made life easy
and living in Hayes i know 3 youngsters who live near me went to their first away game and there parents insisted they went by the coach.
For what it counts I got home at 7.30, they after getting the 65 to Ealing Bdy then train down got home at 7.40

Blimey mate that was late, we left after the team left the field, got train to LB, then Waterloo East, then got 18.08 to Feltham from Waterloo and was home by 6.30! People from Brentord I knew got the same and then the 17.54 to Brentford from Waterloo, at home by 6.15! Dont know what time the coaches got back - how did the coachees get on ???

the train we got was 13:52 from Charing X (respect to the train guard for saving my stella ), 21 mins via Waterloo East and LB....

I went on a coach for the first time because I was taking a younger supporter to his first away game, and I thought it would remove any hassle. We had a very relaxed trip there and back and were back at GP by 6.45. I would certainly recommend it as there is plenty free parking around GP on a Saturday.

Ive taken the pill albeit belatedly .I was still wound up yesterday ,but still I think your post wasnt so much tongue in some ones cheeks.You do have a thing about coach travellers from your many postings onthe subject .Maybe you and Brickie were subjected to some severe injuries caused by older members with their Thermos's on away travel when you were younger ? What ever though
