Colin Cramb

[JonnoTheBee]

I remember someone talking about our need for a striker like Colin Cramb and look at what happens hes released by Crewe! Well, I remember he was at Southampton for a time, he must be about 27/28 and has good experience and would hassle the Second Division defenders. Coming from Crewe I would expect him to be on modest wages and could be quite useful if we have no other alternatives.

Other Info
Cramb joined Crewe from Bristol City just before the start of the new season 1999/2000 for a fee of £200,000, he scored on his debut - a Worthington Cup tie at Hartlepool and has followed that with two more goals as he has become a Crewe regular. A well travelled player scoring goals for all clubs, he joined Bristol in 1997, for £250,000 from Doncaster, helping Doncaster survive relagation.

Cramb is known for having a very short temper, but his play in excellent, very unselfish and made an new Crewe attacking formation

The 97-98 campaign saw Cramb net several crucial goals in the promotion drive but the 98-99 season was not as fruitful. Cramb joined Walsall on loan before securing a move to Gresty Road in August '99.
