We are but on a smaller budget, we’ve not had that big sale yet so we’re miles away at the minute, can’t see it being long

Have to start somewhere, we started off small and gradually worked our way up before we could invest more. Met a lovely barnsley mad fan last week, hope you push again next season

Thanks Magical and it was Magical too.
Never to be forgotten.
Good luck next season.

Congratulations

Really enjoyed my last trip to Barnsley. (1-3 mind). Good to see you getting back in the zone. I thought you was unlucky to concede the goal in Swansea.
Swansea done a job on us they were worthy winners they came up with a way to beat us, it worked, can’t complain. We’ll go again next season we’ll be top 8 next season, it’s good enough for us.

After keeping us down and you up in the last game of the last season you are forgiven ?

Congratulations

Just wanted to pop on here & congratulate you guys. I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of love on here for Swansea, but it’s a forum & you need a thick skin I guess!
I’ve sort of followed your progress for a couple of years now, probably since the days of warburton, & it struck me that our clubs have taken similar paths in as much as many years spent in the lower leagues, then making it up to the championship, new stadium & obviously now promotion, & your club seems to have been gearing up for this moment for quite a while now.
I know how you guys are feeling right now, as we had the same thing 10 years ago. Looking forward to the fixture list, being on match of the day every week, pundits & the like talking your team up, everything, & it’s a fantastic feeling.
We’re not all bad losers down here in SA1, & as painful (but expected) as today was to watch, I just hope you guys smash it next season, give a good account of yourselves & enjoy your time in the sun, & I can guarantee you that there are definitely at least 3 worse teams than you still in the premier league.
Good luck for next season, & I’ll try & find out how to get to Lincoln ?

Congratulations

Good luck, Magical. Thought you were dead unlucky in both games against Swansea.

A really good, old school, ground. Reminds me a bit of somewhere else…

Your turn next season lad. Rooting for you.

Congratulations

Congratulations guys.
We certainly will be glad to see the back of you!
Hope you do well up there with the big boys.Well run clubs like Brentford and Bournemouth certainly give us lesser clubs hope that one day we can also live the dream.
Always loved watching City at your place and have never had any problems with your fans.
I won’t miss our defeats though!
Enjoy this weekend guys, and Bristol raises a glass to you.

There seems to be quite a few on Fulham,Bournemouth,Swansea and a few other sites who are not.

Swansea fan in peace. Now that I am over the fact that we were crap on Saturday, my overriding feeling is that I am (almost) pleased for Brentford. Our games against you under Potter in particular were extremely entertaining though since then despite only finishing a place above us we've been going in different directions on the pitch. Brentford of this season remind me so much of Rodgers Swans team of 2011 - passing, progressive football, a load of relatively unknown players/cast offs who have been moulded into a proper team with a certain cockiness and a fan at the top who has done things differently and it's paid off.

The years we had in the prem were incredible initially, we beat Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, won a trophy and even beat Valencia 3-0 in the Mestalla FFS. It all turned a bit sour eventually but those first 3 seasons were incredible and I hope you get to experience some of that cos it feels amazing when you have spent most of your football supporting life watching utter dross then all of a sudden are beating Liverpool at Anfield. For what it's worth I think you will do OK and for all that the prem is awash with money and essentially rigged, getting to occasionally stick it to the big clubs is great fun. Enjoy yourselves.

Thanks, I didn’t think you played that bad, you had a 20 min spell in the second half when you put us under a lot of pressure and had a lot of the ball, even when you went down to ten men you still didn’t give up.

All the best for next season.

Congratulations

Cheers mate - disliked Swansea for seasons due to the diving and black arts - time now for you to ditch Cooper and the loans and rebuild properly without the parachute payments!

Fair play for coming on and saying it like it is.
Unfortunately a lot of your fan base seem to have developed an intense dislike for us and Thomas Frank in particular.
I think we come from very similar backgrounds, but 'success' for the 2 clubs has been cyclical. We were "big" in the 30s/40s, you were great in the late 70s/early 80s, you had success again recently, we're now having our turn.
Hopefully you'll be able to convince some of your fellow Swans that's how football works.....

I remember the drive from Cardiff back to West London , not the best. Hope you had a safe drive home .I not sure how Grimes got away with a Yellow for his two footed jump tackle on Canos early on, should have been Red Card

You would be surprised, a few years ago we were everybody's favourite second little team but 7-8 years of beating Leeds, Villa, Sheff Wed, Derby, Euro champions Forest, Premier League champions Blackburn, Boro, QPR, Fulham and Birmingham we have completely outstayed our welcome and it is time to leave. Last year I had hundreds of people wishing us on in the final, this year people genuinely seem to dislike us and think we are arrogant.

Always had time for Swansea, you were brilliant in the Prem beating top sides and playing good football with what people are finally realising is a top draw manager. You also did it 30 years odd years ago.

However your current manager, tactics and players are horrible and you deserve better. You have got away with systematic fouling all season and Grimes had to go early on but the ref didn't want to "ruin a game". Fulton and Grimes added a score of yellows afterwards that were not give so when the red card did arrive it was clearly accidental but to be fair he could easily have gone long before that anyway.

It is a horrible place to lose but I am sure you will be back.

I can never understand this arrogance thing.

It's a charge levelled at TF too, mainly by Swansea fans.

Back when though.

Parachute payments have finished, and they are losing a large percentage of goals with Ayew's departure.

Should still make the top ten, but Play Offs maybe beyond them.

It might take the Swans a couple of years but they have the basis to rebuild and losing Ayew and the parachute payments may be a blessing in disguise as they can focus on developing a new squad and forget all the big money loans which just end up costing them money with no real benefit. They have some good young players, a good recruitment model and on the face of it a decent setup. Replace Cooper with a progressive manager and add a hungry 20+ goal striker and they will be a match for most teams in the division.

It's because we usually have confidence in our team to go out and win.

Nottingham Forest and the like think it's an insult to them that fans of little old Brentford expect to get a result when we play them.

They think we should be happy just to be on the same pitch.

Nottingham Forest? Aren’t they a lower league team?
