Noticed the half empty stadium after today’s LC final as CFC fans left in droves....and Not a criticism of Chelsea as I know we left in flocks at our play off losses...but when..if ever did losing fans stay too applaud winners...and wouldn’t it be nice if that started again?

I still remember how sick I felt after we lost to Yeovil. I couldn't get our of the stadium fast enough.

I’ll leave you to start that. After four Wembley defeats and two millennium stadium disappointments I think any Brentford fan is entitled to scarper whenever they like.

I did too!...just asking if it is a new phenomenon...sort orf recall in the 1970's and before the losing fans stayed for the lap of honour

Watching the opposition celebrating is pretty unbearable. And getting away from Wembley is even worse.

I remember the Leyland DAF whatcamacall it. I left straight away for the car park. And then waiting 40 minutes for other members of my crew who said that they waiting for the trophy to be presented. WTF Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :mad:

We stayed, or a lot of us did, after losing 3-1 to Wigan.

Apart from the Wigan game, which was pretty much a new experience for us all, I buggered off as soon as possible.

I had to drop my grandad off at Eastcote. Got the tube back east. Arrived at Wembley. About a thousand Yeovil fans got on the train and sang at me. :( to be fair they were all nice lads but look at them now...

It depends on circumstance. We lose in the FA Cup final to Man City id stay and applaud our boys.

Play off final. See ya, where’s the pub...

Sorry, but I couldn't wait to leave Wembley/Millennium as quick as I could every time we've lost, I've got no interest in seeing others glory when we've failed.

I once walked back from Wembley along the bus route (can't remember the number) to West Ealing- not a single bus went past me in the two hours it took.

I think we did hang around for Wigan FRT in 85 - I really don’t know why as you say may have been first visit and thing done then.
Crewe 97 - just sat down and thought what a no show.
Carlisle JPT at home in 25 mins after final whistle and
Yeovil well out of Wembley by the time trophy presented.
If we win one day there they will have to kick me out!

No courtesy from me at any Wembley or Cardiff "final". Why the feck would I want my nose rubbed in it. Those who want masochism, fine, you enjoy it and be courteous. Not for me.

I suspect the difference is that in 85 getting to actually witness your club playing on the hallowed Wembley turf was truly special, so making it a real occasion. I remember how much it meant to players, especially of lower league clubs like ours.
These days, so many club games are played at Wembley (Millennium)we have lost any sense of honour in seeing our club play there. It’s just another big game....which we have just lost ....badly....again ?

Got stuck on the Jubilee Line after the Yeovil game as it had broken down, it took about 10 mins to get it fixed - felt like 10 days.

I left as soon as the whistle went for the Yeovil play off game. I was particularly horrible to some Yeovil fans on the train going south from Waterloo.... I would like to meet them again to apologise.

I don't blame those Chelsea fans for scarpering...they're a club in turmoil right now. Worse than that was seeing Man Utd fans heading for the exits with seven minutes to go, at nil nil with their 'deadly' rivals, yesterday. Pathetic.

Stayed for Wigan, Crewes celebrations and Yeovils too iirc.Not Carlisle though.
Saw the FA Cup presented in 1980 and the League Cup at Villa Park in 1981.
Port Vale and Stoke at millennium I stayed for if just to applause our team.

Left on the final whistle for Carlisle and Yeovil. Post-Yeovil, went straight to the pub to meet some friends but just sat there in silence and didn't really say anything.
