Bees v Coventry in 1956/7 was my first visit to GP - can't remember much now (I was very young) except we lost 1-3 and learnt later most of the Bees team had influenza.
What year?
63-64 I think. Crowd must have been around 16,000
I think I read somewhere that they have been given a transfer embargo....
Am using mobile so can't check history...
Them and Birmingham.
I think both clubs are saying it's due to late accounting, and the matter will be cleared up soon.
Pompey's points deduction increases their chances of escaping relegation.
Great to see McInnes isn't the messiah for Brizzle City. Relegation looks to be 3 from 5: Doncaster, Pompey, Coventry, Notts Forest, Bristol City. I reckon Millwall will tough it out.
.............another loss.............
They have appointed someone haven't they... I realise we are playing tranmere this weekend but might do a tranmere loss/coventry win acca... I mean coventry have got to win sometime like tranmere losing too...
Plenty of Bees talking about this yesterday as being the biggest awayday for years.
Some reckon 3K will travel, others reckon up to 4K, if we're doing well.
Should be a mental day out !
That would be Billy Humphries - also played for Leeds and Swansea, plus a couple of clubs in his native Northern Ireland (14 caps, btw):Saw them play us at GP a few seasons ago.......they were very much on the 'up' then....they had a good right winger called Humpheys.....some of their fans ran onto the pitch prior to kick -off....anyway I think the Bees lost that day........YOU REDS....
