5th October 1963, and the last time we played them was the 2-2 away fixture on 15th Feb 1964.
The home game was one of poor old Fred Ryecraft's last matches and the next Saturday we lost 5-2 at home to Brizzle Rovals.
Rickets in both matches IIRC, and particularly in the second when Geoff Bradford scored from a long way out on the left wing - real Hooker territory!
The demo against Fred might have been after the second match and Gerry Cakebread was back in goal on Tuesday 15th for the 9-0 v Wrexham.

I think both clubs are saying it's due to late accounting, and the matter will be cleared up soon.
Pompey's points deduction increases their chances of escaping relegation.
Great to see McInnes isn't the messiah for Brizzle City. Relegation looks to be 3 from 5: Doncaster, Pompey, Coventry, Notts Forest, Bristol City. I reckon Millwall will tough it out.

I've seen three of those sides this season (Millwall, Coventry and Bristol City). Coventry were absolutely shocking. Bristol City has the new manager effect. Millwall can't buy a point at home at the moment, although their last two have been against the leading clubs, but have been good away from home (sound familiar?)

I have a mate who's from Coventry & used to play for their Youth team years ago but never made it as a professional. He says their current team is young (as ours is) but he doesn't really rate any of them, plus they of course still have no manager.

I've waited 10 years for us to play them 'cause I was looking forward to the banter between us, but they are playing so sh*t at present that it's not much fun! :no:

Definitely don't want them to go down! :sad:

Plenty of Bees talking about this yesterday as being the biggest awayday for years.
Some reckon 3K will travel, others reckon up to 4K, if we're doing well.

Thousands of us to be everywhere, Brum we took over 3k for a cup tie in Oct.
League game with a lot riding it, short run up the M40, time to match it.

Saw them play us at GP a few seasons ago.......they were very much on the 'up' then....they had a good right winger called Humpheys.....some of their fans ran onto the pitch prior to kick -off....anyway I think the Bees lost that day.....:sad:...YOU REDS....

That would be Billy Humphries - also played for Leeds and Swansea, plus a couple of clubs in his native Northern Ireland (14 caps, btw):
