didn't noades have something to do with crawley? His wife was a director or something. If true, he just leaves a trail of destructed football clubs behind him!

I don't get it. It makes no sense to me.

Even if he is a shadow of what he was a couple of years ago, why would he play at level five alongside other non-league fodder such as Forest Green, Eastbourne and Luton?

He must have earned enough at Arsenal never to need to kick a ball again. In fact, even if Crawley broke their bank to pay him (which they would have to use some trickery to bypass Conference rules) it would still probably take a year to earn what he was trousering in a month at Arsenal.

Crawley Town

shouldnt we get him or is he to young? lol

too young and he plays that tippy tappy football that we don't like...and he is French - so would be disappointed at the lack of onions....(in the ground of course...plenty of onions available on the Griffin BarBeQue, this Saturday - 12noon-3pm)

Happy for him and a reserve player by the name of Tom Brewer who played in the same team as my son from under 7-under 14. Thought he had something about his game!

That's part one of the mission 'Stop Luton 2011' complete with a month to spare. :sorted:

Have sold over a 1,000 ST for the first time in their history.

I wonder If the football league will make them live within their means then lol

League 2 60% wage cap in place, they probably won't get stung until the half season accounts are submitted.

wow, it may be tough for them then...

The trouble is it can be worked around. It is a percentage of turnover - I think Peterborough got round it by having the owners company sponsor the club with a well above average sponsorship deal. :(

How long do we think it will take before Crawley financially implode, and then drop like a stone?

Watch Man City do something like that as well.

Man City have umpteen assets - players.
Crawley have very little in the same terms
Every Year you hear that Fifa or Uefa are acting to curb excessive wages, rising debt levels - nothing actually happens.
The FA are at least acting on clubs who go into administration, by deducting them points.
This is harsh on fans, but is the only way to get football clubs to realise that they should not spend money, that they do not have.

This is on the agenda for Cyprus.....http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/09/football-league-wages-losses

I read yesterday that Chelsea have a Playing budget of £172m or something...that dwarfs anything in League One and makes our £3.2m look pawltry.

If Crawley have sold 1,000 STs already, that is fantastic for them, and gives them a good start in league 2.
I hope the owners have a plan to make sure the club is breaking even as soon as possible, now that they are in the league.

We are going up, say we are going up!

"The Football League are examining paperwork from newcomers Crawley Town needed to pass the owners' and directors' test. This also requires the club, favourites to win promotion to League One at the first attempt, to make public on their website anyone holding a stake of more than 10 per cent - which has yet to happen. Mystery surrounds Crawley's anonymous Far East bankrollers to the alleged extent that a shell company based at Gatwick Airport owns the club."

I'd reprieve Lincoln if it came to that.

With any luck they will just not relegate one of the two League 2 teams if it should come to that

Crawley Town

Surely this is all too late as the fixtures are out on Friday ?

Shouldn't this all have been sorted out PRIOR to the start of last season at the same time as saying their ground is up to Football League standard ?

I think that would be the norm (if even that is not too late with fixtures etc) just look at what the conference does in similar circumstances.

Luton will be non league for at least nother sesaon.

Crawley Town

As Southport were reprieved in the conference. Then Lincoln will be reprieved in the FL. They will not promote teams from Non-League. :sorted:

I say just shut the trap door now and have no more promotion from non-league football. F*** Luton. :sorted:

That's one way I suppose! But watching them cock up winning the league, and then losing in the play offs, has just as much enjoyment attached to it :sorted:
