Cheating ******* ****** referee.

That's all I'm saying til I've calmed down a bit.

Well that and Smith mistake for the second. Very poor keeping.

Crewe Reports

I will start up possibly a little controversial, from where I was sitting I thought the referee was right in both sendings off. If Marshall was holding Hulse back as it appeared, he was right in giving him a red. Had he not been previously booked, I think he would have got a straight red.
Fullerton went diving in with both feet, studs showing and yet again, think he was booked earlier in the match, but that would have got a straight red with most ref's.
BUT THAT IS WHERE MY LINKS WITH THE REF END !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apart from that, I can barely rememeber getting anything, including 50 / 50 free kicks, throw in's, the bookings in the first half, smelt too much of 'i'm the boss and you will do what I say'
He had to stop the game for everything and would not let the game run. Also, Hulse's first half dive was shocking...

In all honesty, I thought we were second best in the first half, with midfield particularly lightweight. Also thought Hulse, Jack, Rix and Tierney were taking us apart down the left wing. Slick moving / hesitant defending and a cool finish is a summary of the first goal, couple of short passes split the defense sending Hulse clean through, from then on, there was only one outcome.

Second half, started a bit better, first 15 mins, cancelled each other out, Sonko rose superbly to blast a header past the keeper to make it 1 - 1, from then on, it looked like three poins coming our way.
O'Connor nearly sneaked a goal when dodgy keeper nearly spilled a tame shot through his legs, not sure how close it got to the line.
Triple substitution, Rowlands, Constantine and Frampton on for Willo, McGammon and Somner.
Marshall sent off for dragging back Hulse, even with 10 men, fair play to the boys, we did not sit back and defend for 1 - 1, they kept going forward. Fullerton off for two footed challenge.

From then on, only likely to be one outcome, 2 - 1 to the referee.
Could criticise Smith maybe for the goal, but when you are two players out, you are forced into situations and he was undecided whether to come out for the ball or stay on his line, caught in
no-mans land, lobbed smith.

Positives from the game, great to see Rowly back, had some good touches and runs, Constantine looked good, holding the ball up, laying it off and Sonko another good performance.
Negatives, two reds (suspensions we could do without), midfield needs to work harder for 90 mins rather than 45 mins. Mcgammon did not have much supply, but did not seem to be on his toes as much today.

Still p1ssed off. Big time.

Sonko commanding but outstripped by Hulse for 1st goal, doesn't happen often and just one of those things methinks.

Good equaliser for that man tho.

1st half we were torn apart by Jack at times, no one could keep up with him, and towards the end we were lucky to only lose 2-1 because they had 3 strikers (Ashton, Cheating B@stard Hulse and Jack) on our three defenders and we were pulled all over the place.

2nd half we suddenly got going, looked pretty good, fought for everything more than we had been doing and were rewarded. Until sending off we looked more likely to get the win.

Marshall had to go, no doubt, but he did save us going a goal down (albeit temporarily). Fullarton, no way, was a booking but NOTHING more, they didn't appeal for the red at all. From that point on, we were always going to lose.

NOT HAPPY WITH REFEREE.

Crewe Reports

Also Kev's shot was way past the line, linesman was level with the PENALTY AREA not the goal line and disgrace that he didn't see it had gone in

One of the worse displays from a ref I have ever seen has probably robbed the Bees of a point this afternoon if not three. If Marshall touched the cheating Hurse then he had to go but the bloke fell down like he was on ice! As for the second sending off - in my opinion from where I was sitting Fullarton did not go in two footed by with one and was slightly late - a yellow at most. I will stand corrected if the t.v reply's show otherwise. To me O'Connor's shot was clear crossed the line. - I good header from Sonko for our goal. - Also their physio is a disgrace!

Crewe Reports

Yep, to their @rsehole physio

Official site's report is poor by the way, it says Marshall brought down Hulse as he was about to get his hat-trick and it was in the area; firstly it was 1-1 at the time, so he potentially saved us a point because it definately saved a goal. Secondly he was clearly outside the area, because had it been inside it would've been a penalty.

I agree. Can somebody sort that out? I wasn't at the match, but could've given a more accurate match report than the person in question did. I appreciate that it was probably done in a rush to appease the baying masses etc., but the mistakes pointed out above are elementary, and it's slightly embarrassing.

Crewe Reports

As has been said, the referee and his 'assistants' were amongst the poorest that I have witnessed. We pay good money and go a long way to see what could have been a good game of football spoiled by officials who let the home town crowd make all of the decisions for them. The ref was not at the races from the first minute to the last. I agree with Cheshire that Marshall's was a red card (he had been booked earlier) but not Fullerton's and the club should appeal that one. Not sure if Fullerton was booked earlier but certainly Evan's and Marshall's first bookings were jokes. The guy could not keep up with play, not surprising given his midget legs.

The game........

Me thinks tactical errors by Wally to play Kevin up front and give Willo a start.

KEVIN IS NOT A STRIKER

WILLO IS LIGHTWEIGHT IN MIDFIELD AND I CANNOT REMEMBER A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION SINCE BOURNEMOUTH AWAY LAST SEASON. EVEN ON THE WING HE RUNS DOWN MORE BLIND ALLEY THAN A BAT.

I accept Martin might not be ready for 90 minutes but we would have been better off with Kevin playing the right midfield role where I think he has done well in at least the last two games and having Leon or Peters up front with Mark. I guess the theory was that Kevin would run back to defend but it certainly backfired.

Poor defending for their first

Excellent spirit to get back into it in the second

11 against 9 was always going to be impossible but just a pity we conceeded so quickly.

I don't think Wally should put out a reserve team on Tuesday. We need to bounce back immediately and not go to Wycombe with a couple of defeats behind us.

The Cobblers made the drive home a bit easier.

Crewe Reports

Not too much to add to the above....

Ref was a disgrace....Don't think a red for fullarton was deserved, however I think this day has been along time coming for him!! It was poor by the ref IMHO because he destroyed the game completely by reducing us to 9 men, but quite frankly I think he had a bet on Crewe to win anyway - so no surprise that he sent him off. The replies on this thread aren't bitter twisted fans - the ref deserves all he gets today - complete tw@t!!

Linos were also awful - most notably, Mac being about 5 yds onside with 3 playing him on - only to be given off!!!

I suppose in all fairness, Crewe did offer something going forward and always looked very dangerous - missed countless chances. On the other hand we did very little, especially first half, and it took the equaliser to get us going. From that point it looked like a bees win was on the cards, even with 10 men - but after another got sent for early showers, it was all over.

Thought Willo underperformed today, Smith bad for the 2nd - but only 8 men infront of him, KO and Mac not a good partnership IMHO.

Last thoughts go to the stewards - not sure what was said chaps, but I'm sure your reaction was well ott and didn't warrant police intervention. Clearly a few bees fans very merry today, you should of ignored them, cos it wouldn't of developed - but no - on your high horses as per usual. :(

Still a reasonable day out - A good performance against an average team, shame they had 12 playing - might of got something otherwise.

Crewe Reports

Cheshire Bees' report pretty much sums it up.

The referee was a complete twonk, no doubt and was the most officious @rsehole we have had this season, but despite that I can in all honesty have little complaint about either of the sendings off.

Marshall was harshly booked in the first half but in any event got a straight red for a blatant professional foul. In the form Hulse was in, he would surely have scored had Scotty not pulled him back.

At least Marshall saved us a goal. As for Fullarton, this has been coming for weeks. It seems he must dive in with a ridiculous two footed challenge at least once every game and so far he has got away with it. Well he didn't today and this was not the sort of ref who was going to waste an obvious opportunity to send a bees player off. Fullarton, you are a plank. That was a hotheaded pointless challenge from supposedly one of the most experienced players. If it wasn't for the fact the wages at this club are so abysmal, I would suggest you be fined 2 weeks money. But on our pay scale, maybe 2 hours would be more appropriate.

Other than that, the usual suspects played well, eg Smiffy and Sonko.

Stephen Evans after his brilliant performance last week was remarkably subdued, possibly after being booked in the first five minutes by the shortarsed prat in green.

Williams showed why he is not worthy of a starting place. (head down , run to the corner flag every time and fail to deliver). O Connor was lightweight up front.

After Wally's bold triple substitution, I felt confident it was the right thing to do and that we would win. It was the sendings off that conspired against us though as all the subs played well. In fact I would say very well, I thought Constantine held the ball up superbly and was a cut above anything McCammon had produced earlier and Rowly is back and had better start next week. (or I will cry)

All in all, well beaten by a better footballing team with some help from a bunch of homer officials.

Bees players and fans should have a better day at the office when there is a bit less dummy spitting. Neither set was a credit to the club today

I am so pissed off with that ****er who calls himself a refree to read others reviews as I need to get this off my chest.

The refree was a ****ing disgrace, he gave everything Crewe's way and did not even give throw ins Brentford ways on occasions.
The first goal was a ****ing joke as not only was Hulse offside but the free kick they got before it was a joke.

As for the linesmen he then later decided to call McCannom offside despite being about 5 yards onside and having 3 players playing him on. My god.

As for the sending offs Marshall could have gone if he had touched the player who went down like a shot. Fullarton okay it was a clumsy challenge but it should have been a yellow and I have seen refs not given yellows for less then that but by that time he just wanted to throughly piss Brentford fans off.

Also on top of this on several occasions he let them have free kicks for the slightist touch while they hacked us down and he waved play on a ****ing disgrace.

However I think this action sums him up best was their number 9 getting treatment on the pitch for 5 or so minutes despite being a whole one yard from the pitch yet allowing play to continue while Kev was lying in the centre circle. The man is a disgrace and should never be allowed to ref again.

As for the bees they were superb never gave up and were better then a Crewe side who I thought were crap.

Letters of complaint are going to be written about stewards SP2 (the fat $hit in blue), C3 (skinny little weiner with moustache in yellow) and SL2 (the fat bit(h with blonde hair) just so anyone else knows who to complain about.

I'll have words with fatty if I see him about town.

As for the game, we've nothing to be ashamed about, beaten just by a team that were div 1 last season, with an England under-19 (hahahaha) international on the bench. Most of the lads played well, but O'Connor shouldnt have been started up front, he offers very little, has no real presence on the game etc. Leon should have started. Also felt making three changes at the same time was a big mistake, one or two maybe, but to change things completly at quite an early stage of the half (or at least so it seemed) was poor.

At least you lot dont have to live here :)

Just seen it on Sky

What a pair of joke decisions by the referee to send our players off.

Marshall never touched Hulse who is a diving cheating KUNT. As for Fullarton, he caught the bloke fair enough but it was not a two-footed challenge. A booking yes, but not a straight red card. Even the anti-Brentford Chris Kamara said the ref got both decisions wrong.

I ain't seen the O'Connor non-goal but if those decisions above are anything to go by, I'd say the ball was in.

Great header from Sonko for our equaliser but did you notice Hulse's winning goal celebration? Yes, you got it - the cheating fecker DIVED:mad:

Don't think you've got too much to be smug about mr ccc. Of all the teams I've seen this season, I certaintly thought you were nothing above the norm for this division.

Lets face it, it was lookin like a bees victory until we were so harshly reduced to 9. And even then it took some shocking keeping to gift you a 2nd.

Then lets consider the cost of our team...hmm well less than £500k for our entire team that played yesterday - including subs I might add!!! And the cost of your team?!?!?

Nuff said I think...9 kids versus 13.5 men (not sure about the ref - looked about 12 didn't he lads)

In contrast 3 players have cost crewe nearly 2 million in the form of Bramner, Jack and Walton. Fair play tho, lot of youth players in that team yesterday. :)

Crewe Reports

Brammer was ridiculously cheap though for what he is, Vale had to flog him for that low price because they've got no money! :lol

Jack & Walton I am saying nothing about.

They paid nothing for Walton & co really thinking about the money they have made selling players such as Murphy etc.

AJ said:

Crewe aren't the best example of a big money team because they don't spend much on players on accoune of their youth system, but I agree this comparison can often be drawn between us and other teams we've played this season (e.g. Barnsley).

Crewe Reports

The ball was definitly over line, thought Wally was wrong with all them substitutions at one time, that lost me,and that fat slag of a steward deserved a slap.We threw it away after pulling ourselves out of a bad first half, shame

Crewe Reports

Only just calmed down.

Marshall hardly touched the cheating Hulse, who was looking to fall over at any opportune moment.

Fullarton should not have been sent off. THe ball was there to be won. He was trying so hard to get the ball, as even with 10 men, we looked like having the momentum.

Starting line-up wasn't all that. Marshall was exposed for his lack of pace, and Jack was too quick for Sonko.
Willo is too lightweight. O'Connor is not a striker.

Crewe's physio is an absolute idiot for gesturing right in front of us. The stewards were rude, obnoxious, and OTT. I shall go to Crewe again, because when we do win up there, I will love rudding their noses in it. Crewe have never been my favourite team, and they have just become one of my most hated teams.

Well done to the Bees for battling hard throughout the game though.

Crewe Reports

good performance from us,the ref was just effing useless and looked like he wanted to help crewe at every opportunity.the picture on the official site smiling as hes leaving the pitch makes me mad and just look at the smug look on his face.deserved at least a point even with nine men.good vocals and something has to be done about stewarding at some games.to have a club like ours having 6-7 people thrown out at consecutive away games is ott.

Sadly, unless a Premiership side is coming in and desperately want to buy them, lower division players never go for what they are worth any more.

See Evans, Powell, Owusu, Mahon, etc............

Frankly I would be surprised if Crewe would get anybody to buy Brammer now for half a million.

Crewe Reports

The linesman was very poor and could not keep up with play. This made Crewe look a lot better than they actually were. In fact they tore us apart in the early exchanges, mainly because they were running on from offside positions.

Hulse seemed to spend most of his time on the floor, even when he hadn't been touched. It was no surprise when he bumped into Marshall and went down it was no surprise that his diving got Marshall sent off, hed been practicing all afternoon.

Infact a low light of the game was when Hulse fell to the floor within six inches of the goal line. he laid there for about five minutes receiving treatment from the physio who to get hiom 'face up', rolled him onto the pich when it would have been easier to roll him off. Hulse of course made a miraclulous recovery and having stood up like a new born foal woul;d have overtaken Linford Christie 30 seconds later if he was on the pitch. This unbeliveable recovery brought cries of "cheat, cheat, cheat" from the travelling fans. The physio the stopped, placed his jhand behind his back and gave the Brentford fans the 'one fingered salute'. This was seen by virtuall all of the supporters towards that end but surprisingly not by a single steward.

Fullerton was unlucky to go off, Most refs would have given a yellow, especially having already
sent a player off.

The Bees were unlucky to have there second goal disallowed. It looked like it had crosed the line after the keeper had fumbled it.

2-1 was not a bad result, when it was 9 agianst 11+1 it could have been far worse. We could have luckily nicked a draw and until Marshall went off possibly more.

Crewe Reports

Thoroughly frustrating and annoying.
Conned by the ref and it will affect us against Wigan too.
Didin't play well in the 1st half but Hulse is a diver big-time, spent most of the game on his arse. Jack was far too quick for us to deal with and their movement of the ball was a level above us.
2nd half we came out and went at them, got an equaliser and were still on top until we had Fullarton sent off. They scored straight away and we were alwys in trouble after that.

Haven't seen any of the decisions on tv so can only somment on what I saw on the day.
Marshall looked like he fouled him but he had been diving all day and the ref was desperate to send Marshall off so it may have been wrong.
Fullarton's looked like a strong challenge but not dirty, very harsh.
I thought O'Conner had scored but couldn't be 100% sure, we were never going to get it from the officials though.

I'm not one to moan about ref's normally but this guy has cost us at least a point.

Crewe Reports

At the end of the day we were robbed of a point if not 3 but now we have to move on. I would love a win from Tue as my ex is a plymouth supporter (b@stard) Although i am glad Rowlands is back it is clear that he is not back to full strengh we need to take the next two games to address the best starting 11 especially with so many people with numerous yellow cards. It would be nice to have a good cup run as it brings in the money but at the mo for me the league is more important.
