Currently Free Agents

Noticed quite a few players got released yesterday so thought it might be interesting to see if there are any people would like us to sign. Apologies if people dont consider this thread-worthy.

Current options include: Tarmo Kink, Darren Carter, Danny Webber, Lee Johnson, Febian Brandy, Tom Butler, Shane O'Connor, Petter Vaagan Moen, Nicky Hunt...

Feel free, anyone, to add any that ive missed that are of interest.

I wonder where Lee Johnson will end up next? Fishing DOH!

Would love to see the paper trail for all of his and Blair Sturrocks transfers and contracts!

Hasnt played for anyone this year since being released by Pompey last year. Still only 30 as well. Trained/trialed with QPR and 'Udders.

If they have all been released they can't be that good, I can't see anyone there who would be of any use to us at all, and the management must feel the same, otherwise we would have signed one of them!!

Danny webber surely worth a trial, hope someone from the club is already aware of this-what's the worst thy can happen? Used to be a cracking player and could be just what we need

Yeah, I cant believe he's had such difficulty in finding a club although he may be waiting for the right one. Personally, id really like to see us give a chance to Febian Brandy (as ive said on here before), great pedigree and from what ive heard is a bit of a poacher which is something we currently lack as an option.

Damn! Thought I might have been able to get a mention in under the radar and start a serious conversation about him :)

Maybe the answer to why he still hasn't been signed up despite his talent is the fact people can't resist the surname puns?! :confused:

Why bother with another right back we've already got a great option to cover Shaleum in Karleigh Osborne :fishing:

Sounds like Uwe is thinking about KO as a centre back given the number of goals conceded recently from today's interview. "Right back definitely No.1 priority" .

Yes true, but I dont really think we're likely to sign him on probably quite decent wages just to compete with Shaleum. Although were he cheap enough he'd offer another, less attacking, option similar to Woodman on the left.

My old manager used to think I was better than Keith Millen...

I might have lost a bit of pace in the last twenty-five years but I wouldn't be that expensive.

Just in case anyones interested ive got a couple more. Stuart Parnaby (could def do a job as right back competition) and Francisco Pavon (admittedly unlikely).

For those of you wondering, yes, this information did come from playing football manager...
