I agree with you about Mbeumo and the snake but who exactly are the dead wood in midfield we failed to replace?
I suppose FTT would fit that bill most. There are players ahead of him, even those who don’t make XI. There’s unlikely to be much interest in his services simply due to his limited minutes. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a useful player, just means we’re not really in need of him anymore

But gets an assist....
Maybe....
EDIT: No, offside

Dango Ouattara

I could start for them for goodness sake. What's up with that?
my thoughts exactly. Just didn’t want to say in case I’d be seen as criticising him.

I said it in the KLP thread, but if Keane performs well against Spurs and shows more offensive instinct, with momentum behind him, I wouldn’t want Dango walking straight back in over him

Just come on with half an hour to go.

Is Dango the only player we’ve had that gets worse when he isn’t playing?

Dango Ouattara

He was rested because BF had already qualified for the quarterfinals. I reckon the earliest we will see him is Chelsea on the 17th Jan.

Dango Ouattara

They have Ivory coast or Cameroon in the next round on the 6th Jan.

Possibly if knocked out then we might see him against Sheffield Wednesday.

f***ing typical that theirs is the last round of 16 fixture on the 6th !

I'm looking forward to the return of the Django..... I'll get me coat.
They play ivory coast on the 6th Jan at 1900 GMT. You'd probably have IC as favourites going by FIFA world rankings as they are 20 places about BF

Dango Ouattara

we might have him back sooner than we think, very tough game tonight for him.

One thing we've seen from KA is that nobody - including Sepp, Henderson or Dams - walks back into the side. They need to earn it. Brilliant option for mid Jan though!

It’s 9°C and raining in Marrakesh 🥶
Indeed, being in Morocco the whole tournament has been played in weather similar to late autumn in the UK.
Maybe my recent weather experience has clouded my view. I have just travelled down from Liverpool after the Everton game. On Monday I was walking thru 2" of snow since staying near Liverpool Airport and it was f*king cold. Just arrived in Brentford, still cold but no snow.

Dango's coming home.

H/T 2-0 to the classy defending champions. BFA are trying hard, but can’t keep the ball longer than a few seconds. Dango’s was quite literally the only action in CIV’s penalty box. Cross cum shot that nearly sneaked past the keeper.

That’s some long weekend! 👏
Point was more that it’s not been one of those winter warmth / sun AFCONs this time round.
For example if it were held in Chad, it’s currently 36°C (26°C overnight) in N'Djamena!
