I hope not. Played less games than us over the Christmas period. Match fit. Only a short flight away. I'd give him tonight off and expect him in the squad on Saturday.I imagine we will give him 2 weeks off to recover from tournament football
It's moving to Summer from now on.Really annoying that Afcon is played every two years and during the European season, where virtually all the players are based. Feel the same about Dango as I used to about Bryan. Just want them eliminated asap so they stay fresh and injury free. Not sure Dango will start on Saturday after all that travel, but good option off the bench.
I don't trust anything caf say. They'll move a tournament at the drop of a hatIt's moving to Summer from now on.
you're having a laughI imagine we will give him 2 weeks off to recover from tournament football

Agreed. There’s no midweek game after that and I don’t imagine he’ll go straight back into the side at Chelsea given how we’ve been playing so what would we be resting him for? He's been undertaking what I assume to be light training, played 2 of their games, I believe, and then sitting around with a life of luxury in hotels with pools etc.
Get back and ready for Sheffield Wed

I suspect a sub on Saturday. We'll see.
Absolutely.... No one is guaranteed a place in the starting 11 right nowwith us scoring 8 in last 3 games, are we certain he just gets back in?
He’s a handful for defenders yes, but it sets a good precedence to say ‘show us why you should start’. Right now, I’m not sure he does
I'd probably put him in...but I'd consider:with us scoring 8 in last 3 games, are we certain he just gets back in?

Yes. When it’s too hot to play in North Africa, and too rainy to play in West and Central AfricaIt's moving to Summer from now on.

You’d think so. However it wasn’t necessarily apparent in Burkina Faso’s games!I assume the training for international games is more tactical with less focus on high intensity fitness. However, I obviously know f*** all about this or the facts
On the bench at the weekend. Ready to go vs ChelseaI imagine we will give him 2 weeks off to recover from tournament football

And Schade id of thought, they complement each other so wellIgor must be![]()
Think he might be competing with Damsgaard and Jensen right now. We saw at Everton that the way to get them both in the team is to have 2 10s instead of a RW. If they're all match fit and playing at their peak, which 2 play out of them and Ouattara becomes a tactical question. Will have to work hard and push himself in training to start games.
Keith seems to have morphed the formation into a version of 4-4-2, yesterday with Lewis-Potter in a sort-of inside right position, defending in midfield when out of possession and advancing with freedom when attacking; then Damsgaard replacing him in that role. Not sure he goes straight back into the team either. Thiago and Schade have both been better, as a pair if not individually, with KLP in the team. KA has also shown that starting places are learnt when coming back to the team, rather than straight into the XI on return
Arguably gives us a lot more attacking depth off the bench, and arguably shifts our transfer priority for January from needing another attacker in to another midfielder.Keith seems to have morphed the formation into a version of 4-4-2, yesterday with Lewis-Potter in a sort-of inside right position, defending in midfield when out of possession and advancing with freedom when attacking; then Damsgaard replacing him in that role.
It will be interesting to see how Ouattara is used when he’s back on the pitch.
It was more the subtle change in positioning/formation that I was thinking of – will Ouattara be used similarly or in a flatter front 3?Arguably gives us a lot more attacking depth off the bench, and arguably shifts our transfer priority for January from needing another attacker in to another midfielder.
Dango won't be playing Saturday. Keith says he needs more time to recover. If I were him I'd be absolutely chewing Keith's ear off for a start on Saturday. Not sure when his next one will come.
Nor will most of the first teamDango won't be playing Saturday. Keith says he needs more time to recover.

Maybe not but this is the DO thread and some were questioning if he would start.Nor will most of the first team
Lovely video with Dango. I had no idea he was a fluent French speaker.

Yep , that’s me being quite ignorant about this.No disrespect, but he was born in Burkina Faso, a former French colony, and played for L’Orient in France so I’m guessing he’s been speaking French for some years.

Et toi? Quest-ce que tu pensais avant de rechercher sur google? ;-)What language did you think he spoke ?
Yeah, it was dubbed into American when I watched it, but you can change the settings to get the original French. (NB - do Americans call training, "science"?)What language did you think he spoke ?
Not sure if it's only me but that has horrible American dubbing!
Same for me. I am finding it almost unwatchable becauseWhat language did you think he spoke ?

You can change it in the settings, if you watch it on Youtube, rather than embedded here.Same for me. I am finding it almost unwatchable because
a) the American accent is completely out of context
b) It is a significant mismatch from the subtitles
c) It destroys all the nuance. I'd get more from hearing him speak French and reading the subs
Yes. A total mish mash. I was thinking “why does his American need subtitles (that are too small to read)?”. He laughs a lot and seems happy to be here.Same for me. I am finding it almost unwatchable because
