Can somebody settle an arguement, what is the nationality of ex bee Danis Salman I say he is Danish............anyone

Ive had a few beers and my brother (Know all prat) said he was not Danish I disagreed you know how it is when you've had a couple, so I thought GPG will solve the arguement:sorted: :sorted:

look at post 3. Only trying to clarify things. Not everyone km=nows that cyprus is split with a turkish and greek frontier. Famagusta(spelt wrong) is where Salman was born. This makes hin a turkish Cypriot.:fishing:

The Turkish invasion happened in 1974. Surely Danis was born before then which would make him a Greek Cypriot :fishing:

I'll ask the couple that run the Greek Cypriot restaurant in West Ealing for a definitive answer :D

I think you'll find Famagusta before turkey nabbed it was part of north cyprus
I used to work with a lot of Greek and Turkish Cypriots was also a best man at one of their weddings, have also met Danis Salman aswell and he told me he was Greek side of things. :sorted:

Aaah another player with memories from my younger days, mid to late 80's, the lovely Greek/Cypriot Danis Salman and yes he did have an eye for the ladies :D

I remember his picture on the back page of The Sun ... He was 15 and in his school uniform and he had to ask permission from his Head Teacher so he could travel with the team to Old Trafford for a League Cup midweek game ?? :D

I am sure he was a Turkish Cypriot , and joined Millwall of his own volition.

The last I heard was that he was running a chip shop in Torquay
