Danny Cullip

Danny Cullip

is he available?
Been released by QPR, but I think although he's a free agent he couldn't play until January, because the window is closed for any kind of registration. I may be wrong though...

You'd think a League One side would take him anyway.

Danny Cullip

would be a cracker of a signing :sorted:

Danny Cullip

if he's a free agent then we can sign him Nasty piece of work apparently but.......

Danny Cullip

Personally I think we are crying out for an oldish CB with little pace.

Danny Cullip

I doubt he'd be rushing to come back after the treatment we've given him since leaving.

Danny Cullip

Too much money.

If he's just been paid off and now out of work, he has money in the bank but NO income. He might not require too much money, for say a 4 month contract. :fishing: Although the flip side is his recent injury problems and would he be worth the risk. :fishing:

Too much money .... for the likely risk. I'm sure we could reach a deal if we wanted to but he's nothing like worth spending the money on.

Danny Cullip

No way.. We need another Sodje or Turner. Not another Mackie or Heywood.

I agree. Much better can be found. Darren Blewitt at Billericay imho could easily step up to this league. :sorted:

We already have Heywood doing the business, I'd rather play a young CB alongside him

Danny Cullip

danny cullip's certainly an alleged racist, i'll say that for him. :sorted:

Yeh if Osborne can't do the job although tbh atm what we really need is a tall commanding midfielder more than anything.

Danny Cullip

Another thread based on sentiment rather than logic. :fishing:

Danny Cullip

That would be a thread based on logic rather than sentiment. :D

Danny Cullip

i remember two bees fans that was going to kill him for bottleing a tackle on his first game at gp .thought he was ok at centre back

Danny Cullip

Cullip - I seem to recall a pretty crap disciplinary record, we should look to the future, not the past. Heywood has surprised me this season, but Mackie doesn't cut it with me at all,I'd rather persevere with Osborne.

Danny Cullip

30 years old. released by another club. we don't need anymore friggin defenders before we get an attacker.

No thanks. Would be a useful triallist at the start of a season but lets not waste what pennies we have left on a position for which we have about 10 players already. Although they may not be much good there is no guarantee DC will be any better.

:sorted: We need someone up front:idea:

Danny Cullip

The last time we went down, he played.

Dearden ,Hutchings ,Watson ,Cullip ,Bates (Rapley ,54 ) ,Hogg ,Blaney (Dennis ,23 ) ,Cockerill (Oatway ,45 ) ,Scott ,Aspinall ,Taylor

Danny Cullip

Hence the

Plus points:

Has played at a higher level and has massive cajoonas (sp?). Scared the living daylights out of me when I was going to abuse him from the paddock after he got sent off in the LDV game.

Has more courage and aggression than half our squad put together.

Does he want to showcase himself for a couple of months whilst not being paid a great deal?

Negatives:

30 is not that old, but has had a lot of injuries.

Pace? Didn't think he was that slow, but injuries may have changed that.

Does he dislike us after recent visits?

Wages. What is he after?

Danny Cullip

Lets get Steve Philips back and partner him with Andy Mac.

While we're at it, lets give Dannis Salman or Alan Nealmes a ring and see if they fancy a run out.

DON'T GO BACK, IT DOESN'T WORK.

Danny Cullip

Personally I think we are crying out for an oldish CB with little pace.

We need to get this right though. We shouldn't mess around - get straight in there and offer him a reasonable, lengthy contract, perhaps 2-3 years. We know from experience that players won't accept anything less. Is he an old mate of Andy Scott's? :fishing:

Danny Cullip

no way.................................... look for younger players as Gee Bee has mentioned many times before, especially from the non-leagues.

Danny Cullip

How about Cullip and Mackie in defence.

heywood up front.

My suggestion was based on the quickest of the 3 being the striker! lol

Danny Cullip

I'd have him ahead of Mackie, and probably ahead of Heywood, but they are on contracts and we can't take on a 3rd slow veteran CB when we lack pace there, and lack many necessary qualities in other areas

Danny Cullip

I would rather take Nick Ward, the Australian right sided midfielder that QPR have just released. He was on loan at Brighton last year and is a really good player.

:imwith: :imwith: :imwith: :imwith: :imwith: Just what we need - go get Brentford. :sorted: :sorted: :sorted:

Danny Cullip

can you pass this onto someone in power ( who will probably ignore it as per usual) - I am fed up with trying

unless he's on AS's list of players, , then i doubt if TB/AS will be that bothered............................. it's always been a waste of time recommending players, as they either get 'filed' or not interested at this present time.................... apart from when a certain Mr Cureton was up for grabs, and a certain manager spat his dummy out and decided he wasn't for us............ :D
