I have great hopes for Darius at centre back.I hope he is still around.He looked really good in the juniors match against Newcastle,plenty of pace,good in the tackle.Hope to see him at Staines.Also Karleigh Osborne shows good promise.Will these guys get a chance,I hope so.

More left back then centre back and hopefully he and the other young uns get a run out in the friendies

Yep, I like what I've seen of Darius and he is a good prospect but looked much better at left back. Remember he's still a kid and I hope he isn't expected to replace the likes of Turner and Sodje in the coming season.

Darius is a left back and is looking like he can make the grade, but Osborne i'm not sure about yet. Thats just from seeing them play in several youth matches and the Hull/Cheltenham matches. We'll see. They are young and will, under LR, show what they can do when they're called upon.

i think the big lad Darius should bee fine but as for Karleigh wasn't rated too highly at Hayes but we will see

Yeh i feel Darius good be a very good player..

Saw him about 10times for the Youth last year and was strong.. and scored a few..

Can play left back..left wing..upfront

when i saw Dobbo play for the youths he was centre forward or midfielder :shrug:

when he came on at Bradford last season he played on the left side of midfield I think. Took to it like a duck to water, very mature performer who could possibly be a major player for us in the near future:sorted:

Darius looks the bus, as for Osbourne yet to look like he can make the step up, quick though. Crucial season for both...

Ive seen him play 10 times and he played in each of these posistions through out the game so chill donut

I can see Charles and Tillen fighting for both left back and left midfield positions. He didnt look tall enough to be a centre back but who knows.

Going back to that Hull match, Charles was streets ahead of the other youth players. Left back but looked happiest going forward. Confess I haven't seen him in any youth matches, but I'd guess he must be one of the closest to a first team spot, if Rosenior is willing to give kids more of a chance than Allen did.

Shame that left back is probably the one position where we are already strong with good cover!!

Agree. We already have Framps and Tillen who can play left back. Tillen and Rhodes can both play left wing.

Will Darius break in? Can he make the grade?

Best player today imho. Strong as an ox and great in the air, like to see him tested by some pace but from his work today very impressed!

Based on his League performance against Hull in May 2005 and his youth team game against Newcastle in January 2006 he seems to have the basics to become a good quality player. Whether that actually happens will depend on his level of determination and professional attitude as well as the help, support and guidance he receives from the coaching staff on a consistent basis.

Why stick a kid in a struggling team in Left midfield when he is a defender?:confused: We had Tillen who is allegedly a winger at full back.:confused:

A long way off first team in reality, needs to learn the basics of positioning and when to pass and when to run with the ball.

Needs to be offloaded in our current dire situation.

must feel a bit gutted that he was overlooked at halftime even though Framps had just one arm.

Lucky we got away with that. Frampton showed guts staying on, but with a left back on the bench we shouldn't have risked it as Frampton was obviously limited

I thought this lad had loads of potential at the start of the season. I went to a few of the games particulay Northampton (away in the league) I thought he looked quite mature for his age, however since coming back to Brentford from his loan spell he seems to have gone downhill abit. Maybe something to do with thw way Leroy shipped him out on loan.

Starts the season in the starting 11, then all of a sudden he is shipped out on loan. Can't say it would have done much for his confidence.

I'm surprised that this hasnt got a bit more recognition/publicity. Just happened to see it on Soccerbase.

The boy's been a squad regular for us and so what does this say?

Hopefully, the obvious conclusion IS that we have strengthened to a point that our bench is now going to be something to be reckoned with as opposed to players making up the numbers.

I actually think that in time DC might have something about him but he needs to rid himself of the scars from what has happened so far in 06/07. Good luck to him though at Crawley

as we have no reserve team, a player like Charles- who will probably be the future of BFC- needs to play first team football. Just look at what Ide's stint at Sutton has done to him.

He's gone until the end of April, but with a call back option.

Spot on..... he was really gutted at the end.
I maybe wrong but I thought he was quicker than prior to his loan stint!

Well worth a contract for next season IMO!

Why on earth Fitz has persisted with Tillen and put Charles out on loan is a mystery to me. It's like playing with ten men with Tillen in the team.
