Dave Kitson?

Dave Kitson has left Portsmouth, appears to be a free agent. Let's hope BFC make an approach!

(I have no idea if this will happen, but I reckon he'd be just the type of striker we need! Especially well if Matt Harold was to ever return as a potential striking partner!)

Would be very good at League One level, but not sure we could find a deal that works for both parties. Worth an enquiry though

Always been good at what he does. If the price was right then it would be a top signing. Maybe we could include a goal bonus? Something on the lines of every goal scored = 1 packet of just for men hair dye. If he scores 20 goals for us just think think how many Brentford birds he would be able to pull with his jet black hair at our promotion party!

At 32 and with his recent form his days of big wages are over, he may well have to content with his "deal" from Portsmouth and a more realistic lower league salary if he wants to continue playing.

Can't see he fits with the sort of player we track these days, MB doesn't seem the type to fund 30 somethings looking for a final contract.

Hulse for example ? Iversen ? Etc

So many but my memory has failed me. Kitson not coming was not due to money.

Hayes isn't coming Charlton won't sell to us after we "screwed" them over Karliegh last summer.

I think Kitson's record at a higher league speaks for itself. And he'd work well in League 1. And I'd be really surprised if BFC didn't at least make a cursory approach at least.

We need goals and plenty of them. Everything else, including backup strikers, is and are catered for : )

Promotion teams generally need a striker who's a league above in terms of ability. That, especially, plus one (two) great keepers (which we have) and a solid defence.

Season upon season, goals have been lacking. Perhaps this year will be different, but someone like Kitston is surely old enough to be affordable and young enough to be potent.

The team have put in more pre-season than most clubs, I'm reliably told. Just add goals, and watch the points accumulate ! (if only it were that simple - but it should be!)

Whenever I hear his name my first thought is the offence he took when Reading fans organised a "Ginger day" in support of him & some other flame-haired player intheir team at the time. How old is he now?

I'm not going to offer up tales of a mystery source or anything such as this, but from what i've heard from several people (none who I would claim to be ITK or connected with anyone at Brentford). Hayes wants to come here but is on a much bigger wage at Charlton and is reluctant to give that up. Apparently Charlton would be prepaired to pay him off for anyone but Brentford.

See my post below. It's the same thing isn't it, e.g. Charlton saying no unless they get an offer which they really can't refuse.

No cos that would be racist and unacceptable .I suppose he could dye his hair although wouldn't get away from him being sh*te.

I would put a picture of my son one here too, but his isn't as cute or as beautiful as your little lady, he's a big boy now and is a handsome young man, strawberry blondes in! ;)

I agree, it would be unacceptable. Being offensive is ok though?
By the way, I do agree that I do not think he is righf for us, however if he scores lots of goals for us you will be demanding your next fix of ginge.......
