He did very well in dealing with Pinnock's underhit back pass and generally gives the defence more confidence than Bentley did last season. I like the way he celebrates.
Thought that was Tomlin our favourite ex fatty.
It looks like I have a spare ticket for tomorrow in Braemar B304. PM me to discuss.
He's a Raya light...![]()
Made a fantastic save second half, which I thought he had no chance and looked a certain goal. Unbelievable this guy. Quickly become one of my favourites.

Also quite imperious catching high balls into the box despite being rather short for a keeper.
...........a.fumble for their goal though...............Must have claimed everything that was crossed into the box, no flapping at all, takes the ball cleanly and strongly. A keeper you can really trust. Love it. Lol him running to the half way line when we got the 3rd. Class.

I have no doubt that he's an uptick on our previous Number 1. And suits our style really well.
Plus his confidence - wow!
However I think more than 50% of shots that he parries come back straight out for a follow-up attacker to take advantage of.
If he could push them out to the side then he'd be almost as good as me in my pants

. I'll let him off, hes been great this season thus far
Bit unlucky with the goal but almost got two assists from outrageous throws out. Best keeper we've had IMHO..
Not ideal the week there is a change in GK coach.
His throw outs are unreal .. there was one today that had so much spin on it, it looked like it changed direction when it bounced off the turf straight into either Rico or Said’s path (cant remember who) as they made their run .. best Brentford keeper I have seen
Just wanting to get in early and ask the question:
How many goals might we have conceded already this season from the ball coming straight back at us after a long aimless hoof forward from the back??.......

Raya is a very aggressive keeper in every aspect of his game, distribution, coming for crosses, coming off of his line, sweeping etc. With such an approach inevitably it will on occasion go wrong. No doubting his was the major error for the goal and he immediately held his hands up to his teammates. He has been very good for us this year and he deserved better from his teammates to dig him out today as he has many times for them this season. They didn't.
Yes handling error last game and mistake at the Den but I can see no link with the change in GK coach. No doubt he will be back to his ebullient self against Bristol and compares favourably in every sense with the other keeper playing at Ashton Gate.

Not many at all.
Mmmmmmmm.........
Could also ask the question a different way:
How many goals might we not have scored this season if we didn't "play out from the back?"........
:thumbsup:Sorry, misread your initial post. Fully agree, we’ve scored more and conceded fewer by playing out from the back.

Assist for first goal for David, but Dan had two assists for the mighty bees.
