? Scunthorpe reserves. Him and Botham. Not concurrently. Before my time but his wiki says he played for Scunthorpe not Southport
Think Botham actually played a few first team games iirc and didn't Daley Thompson play a few for someone?? Scunthorpe reserves. Him and Botham. Not concurrently.
Keegan played many first team games for Scunny. Born in nearby Doncaster. Taught by my husband’s aunt. Also took his turn driving the team mini bus to away games according to Wiki as Scunthorpe couldn’t afford a driver.? Scunthorpe reserves. Him and Botham. Not concurrently.
Played 11 times for first team according to Wiki. Previously at Yeovil.Think Botham actually played a few first team games iirc and didn't Daley Thompson play a few for someone?
Barnet?didn't Daley Thompson play a few for someone?
Here’s the video btw. Cracking challenge from Masters for their penalty….Objectively the best goalkeeper in Europe. And he plays for Brentford!
Earlier on I watched a video on YouTube of our home game vs Gillingham in 06/07. Our goalkeepers were Clark Masters and John Moushino (an outfielder). Somehow, Moushino actually appeared to be the better goalkeeper.
How times change.

Saw him play for them at GP. 1-1 draw, night game iirc.Keegan played many first team games for Scunny. Born in nearby Doncaster. Taught by my husband’s aunt. Also took his turn driving the team mini bus to away games according to Wiki as Scunthorpe couldn’t afford a driver.
I saw him play in a Saturday night game where we won 2-1 in the last minute with Alan Nelmes scoring.Saw him play for them at GP. 1-1 draw, night game iirc.
KK playing at GP I accept and indeed saw. Spider scoring in the proper net I don't. He even got an og in his testimonial!I saw him play in a Saturday night game where we won 2-1 in the last minute with Alan Nelmes scoring.
It happened!!KK playing at GP I accept and indeed saw. Spider scoring in the proper net I don't. He even got an og in his testimonial!
Indeed. I'd forgotten about that goal and I was there! Must be getting old ?Callum Wilcock?
That was the game I left early and missed seeing Nelmes only goal at GP. He did score when playing as a centre forward at Meadow Lane though. Another Saturday night game in that era was us losing to Brian Clough's Hartlepool. Strange KO time that.I saw him play in a Saturday night game where we won 2-1 in the last minute with Alan Nelmes scoring.
That was a weird kick off time. Maybe for some reason QPR and Fulham were at home that day too? God knows! I remember waiting for a 65 bus in Richmond and receiving some ghastly antisemitic abuse which shook me so much I still remember it 55 years on.That was the game I left early and missed seeing Nelmes only goal at GP. As has been pointed out elsewhere, no way TF would just throw a random figure out to the press.I guess the issue is whether the £40m mentioned by TF is the actual value the club place on Raya - meaning the minimum they'd accept for him. It might be we'd accept closer to £30m and avoid any potential malcontent in the squad for half a season or more.
he said £100m for Toney. As has been pointed out elsewhere, no way TF would just throw a random figure out to the press.
At the time I thought it was a random, tongue in cheek, figure plucked from the air. Not sure everything said by TF has been pre-scripted, surely he is allowed to think for himself sometimes? As has been pointed out elsewhere, no way TF would just throw a random figure out to the press.
On some subjects yes, but on something as significant as a player value I’m pretty sure that would have been agreed before he mentioned it to the press. He’d usually be very cagey on transfer stuff. Also since the Leeds ‘scared to come to GP’ comment (or whatever it was) that backfired so badly and Marcondes similar comment pre fulham play off I’m sure we’re a lot more cautious on what is said in front of the press. At the time I thought it was a random, tongue in cheek, figure plucked from the air. Not sure everything said by TF has been pre-scripted, surely he is allowed to think for himself sometimes?
The club is not denying him a move. If anything PG is probably hawking Raya around more than the agent. So Raya can go when a club pays the price. End of.Fabrizio Romano:
David Raya: “I have ambitions to make the next step in my career. I want to try to win titles and to compete in Europe”.️ #THFC
“There are options out there but it’s not just my ambitions, the club also needs to let me go”, told Times.
Personal terms agreed with Tottenham.
Not the best choice of words....?
There is not much Raya can do is there? This could start to get ugly. I don't like Raya dissing our ambitions especially when it's perennial losers Spurs hoping to sign him. It would be a real shame if he feels he has to force a move by stirring up unnecessary s**t at our club. Just pay up Levy and he's yours.
Particularly about desperate news-hounds lifting spurious quotes to mix in with their speculative nonsense to try to appear relevant! There is not much Raya can do is there?
Yes, agree. The only thing left available to Raya is to ensure he leaves with grace and dignity. He has been adequately replaced.Particularly about desperate news-hounds lifting spurious quotes to mix in with their speculative nonsense to try to appear relevant!
