apparently we are going to make a big, surprise signing.

what do you think the chances are of it being Denis Wise as a player and assistant manager?

thats what a mate of my dad has heard.

Very true,but the fact is Wise is a grafter,creator,and has a football brain,if not any other brain,and that's what Martin likes.

I saw Wise play twice last season and in both Matches he was man of the match and he was a right character with the millwall fans and treated the kids well.
The lge was above ours and his temprament has changed for the better as well as one of the games was against west ham and he must have had a £10 of coins thrown at him but he just smiled and played great football,
I think if you look at him as a player and a manager he has done fantastic for millwall considering he had no cash what so ever to spend and done very well.

Wise at Brentford would be great for us and also give us a lot of press and he is a quality player who likes to play the football on the floor.

Hayles was free & Dobie although signed for £500K was sold within months for £750K, because of Millwalls cash problems, along with others like Harris.
Ifill & Ward have now also gone, imho the next incumbent as manager has a very difficult job. :wave:

Holloway has stood him up for the last two meetings he was due to have about signing for the R's, he told Holloway if he didn't turn up to the next meeting he was going to Southampton.

On another site elsewhere it said that Wise had managed to negotiate a deal @ £6K a week and £1K a goal, and we think we're paying too much for has beens. What happened to Leeds finances, how have they managed to get themselves out of the mire and again in a position to waste shed loads?

I imagine the money Abramovich paid Bates for Chelsea would come in handy. Also, their gates have halved since their fall from the PL and would probably drop below 10k if they got relegated so they have to do what they can to start climbing back up.

I live in Leeds but hadn't heard the rumour. Another rumour I've heard from the Scandinavian press is that he's going to be paid £6.5k a week by Leeds. I'm not sure the two are consistent.

don't they cancel each other out, why not just work for free :wave:
