Derby vs Bees predictions

Tough one to call this. I don't think Saturday was representative of our form in general and I'd say it was more of a 'blip' where the occasion got to too many players' heads.

Derby seem to finally be on the up though, so I'm gonna go for a scrappy 1-1, where both sides are satisfied with the point.

We need a good result. Derby haven't had a difficult game for over a month so, despite their recent rise in fortune, a 3-1 win to us.

3-0 defeat I'm afraid. Derby are in a false position in the League. I hope I'm wrong though.

Difficult one to predict. We're a lot better than the 3-1 defeat to Newcastle would indicate and Derby will presumably be re-energised by having a new manager recently come in (even if it is that clown Maclaren) and are a better side, with better quality players than their league position would suggest as others have said.

It's going to be another tough away game.

A lot depends on how well they reorganise and settle the defence and who they choose as captain in Dean's absence. If Bjelland comes in at Left CB with Barbet at Left Back I'll feel more confident.

I don't we're strong enough to put one over Derby on their own patch and I don't think Derby have come far enough and built up enough confidence as a team to beat us.

I'd take a 0-0 or 1-1 draw I think.

Derby have only scored 7 league goals this season, and only got 2 goals in one game. Quite good defensively, but if we can score first, we'll win.
Our defence is better than the result in Geordie city, so tight game. However, Derby fans haven't much patience, and gaps in their defence will open up if they don't score in the first half. I think all their very few goals have come in the first half.

So a win for us with 2 goals, Hogan and Egan, and whether they score or not, won't really matter!
