Sonko and O'connor did not take part because they were given longer rest due to international matches in the summer

Hmmm. Lehmann is a Fulham reject. I'll check out how he did for them - not great it seems. Two league goals in sixteen starts and ten subs appearances in Division 2.

Maybe not a great goalscoring record, but I remember him getting some decent write-ups. Wasn't there some sort of problem they had sorting out the transfer?

Could be a good signing - nice to see Hunty scoring as well

His career stats, as far as I can find out, are:

League: Motherwell P37 (6) G 9
Brighton P 3 (4) G 0
Hibernian P 27 (32) G 9
Fulham P 16 (10) G 2
Cottbus
FC Cologne

That's .14 goals a game, including sub appearances.
He's also scored 10 cup and other goals in 20 (11) games at .3 goals a game.

So, not prolific - we could hope for about 12 league goals a season - but hey, who cares as long as he sets them up for the others!!!

Not at all convinced I'm afraid!!

Doesn't have goal scoring prowess which is what we need!

And doesn't have the Physical prowess of McCammon!

Not sure what he is actually going to add to the team!

If he can hold it up then maybe...but I would have thought there are better all round strikers than him out there on frees!

A pretty surprising adition to our training group.

He did ok when he was down here before but he must be getting on a bit now.

Would be a good experienced striker but I'm not convinced he's the right man.

Some Fulham fans' views:

Judging by what he's done EVERYWHERE else, he'll score three great goals in the first two games or so, and you'll think you've signed a superstar. Then... er... not a lot. Smashing bloke though - great fun to have in the squad if nothing else.

Diggler should do OK for you in the 2nd. Has he still got the bandage over his earring?

Jumps like a stag and looks impressive doing so - sadly he rarely makes contact with the ball! Popular, but more for his character than his footballing ability.

Do me a favour,I would rather see Vine out there who is young and hungry rather that some clapped out Fulscum reject who is looking for that last years contract before he dissapears.Talking of head,didn't Lehmann use to appear in 70's porno movies,or am I thinking of someone else??

I think we should give this guy a break, yes he has not got the best goal scoring record in the world but who cares. If he plays well during pre season the board might have a good reason to sign him. We will have to see if he is a team player and scores goals reguarly. What did everyone say about Mccammon's goal scoring record not great but some fine team performances to look back on. Think about past players |I have seen at G.P the only Average/very good goal scorers which come to mind are Nicky forster, rober taylor and Lloyd Owusu. Any player would be better than that useless Efan ekoku what a waste of time that was.

For what its worth you might as well have an Albion viewpoint seeing as he played for us 3 seasons ago

He was very good in the air, held the ball up well, very intelligent player, linked well with other players and of course dangerous from set-pieces

HOWEVER, mobility poor and never really looked like a goal scorer with us.........he can still do a job in Div2 I reckon, although as has already been pointed out, his wages will be high, maybe too high

Which is how it should be.
He obviously realises that he will have to take a reduction in wages to carry on playing in this country and is setting himself up a club before other players realise the same.

I can't actually see him signing long term for us, but either way he will probably help to develope those around him, which is what we want.

If Peters is to develop like we hope and to see the best out of Hunt and O'Connor, this is just the player we need

I think this will be a good signing because

A) I'm sure everyone would agree that Peters is the player we have hopes for off getting us 20 goals next season.
B) Also I'm sure we've discussed that we need a player for Peters to play off with Lehmann fitting the bill nicely
C) Although his scoring record isn't great remember how sh*t this division is going to be next season so he'll get a few I would imagine
D) We need a player with experience he fits the bill nicely
E) If Paul Furlong can score goals in this division then surely anyone can.

Saw both of those too. They humped Man City 3-0, Beardlsley was class that night.

He was on trial at Linfield a few weeks ago- they decided he wasn't good enough apparently- and Irish League football is shocking at the best of times, let alone in Linfield's poor form over the past few seasons. He must be worse than before if they didn't take the oppurtunity to sign him up.

He NEARLY won us the match at Old Trafford - as well as plenty of other places...!

The german porn star was great fun always looked like scoring but never did. The crowd will love him but he ain't the answer.

And then they signed Brett Angell instead! I'm sorry but if Linfield think that Brett Angell is a better prospect then Lehman defo isn't the answer!

Dare I say it but my 'both holdsworths' thread looks infinitately more worthwhile now!!

I work with 3 Foolham season ticket holders and play cricket with another 2.
The general feeling is that he could do a good job for us.
He´s tall and good in the air which would suit Peters and Vine or A. another.
They reckon 15 goals at least.
Also he´s East German so hopefully will sign for our wages cause it´s still al ot of money in East Germany.
Came from Energie Cottbus i believe.
