He was awesome tonight scored one and had a hand in three of the goals. He must have impressed alot of top managers tonight.

I really, really , really want to know if the fecking appearance and goal extras come back into play if Brum go up.

Or is it a secret?

My definition of secret in this case being - nobody has a clue.

If history repeats itself and DJ has a amazing January like last year and goes to a Premiership club for £4m+, do we get a sell-on and if so how much?

DJ v Jo

Kuffour's a good striker but DJ was something special, he's got the potential to play for England one day, no doubt.

DJ v Jo

Was praying he'd have an OK game and not look out of place but he was alongside McSheffery brilliant.
His positional awareness was that of a natural goalscorer, his flicks and one two's were excellent, he span and came off premiership defenders like he did league 1 donkeys last year and his work rate first class. I can actually see him being signed by an even bigger club looking for a quick goalscorer to play off a target man.

I'm sure we were told at some point that if Birmingham go up, the appearances in the Premiership start counting again. I can't remember about sell-on details, however.

After watching DJ last night, it's seriously depressing thinking about where we might be now had we not sold DJ - we may even have been challenging Brum near the top of the C'ship:eek: .

However, I still think that the club really had little option at the time. If Lloydy hadn't got injured soon after:sad: , I believe that we'd have still gone up, but we'll never know

I remember that too. I don't think Brum will get offers yet though and they have plenty of cash anyway.

He looked a far better player than when he was with us, the coaching has definitely improved his game.

:dj: was awesome last night, no doubt about it, can't help feeling sad everytime i see him play though :(

his air-kick did cheer me up somewhat though, he nearly kicked himself in the back of the head

That was my understanding too, and also goals will start again (as long as he's at brum). :computer:

Don't remember anything about a sell-on clause, but it wouldn't suprise me if there isn't one :banghead:

we get 10% if he is sold :sorted:

Here's hoping Chelski or Barcalona come in with a £30m bid in the summer

It's amazing isn't it how much players improve when they leave GP?? :(

He had improved massively during his time here. He rarely loses the ball, the bloke is quality.......I miss him!!

I found myself supporting DJ and willing him to score, cursing when he missed kicked in the first half, appealing for the red card and cheering when he did score..he has definately improved a lot there.

To be fair a lot of it has to do with the players around you and not just the coaching. I can honestly say that even after his first substitute appearance when he scored on and made another that he had something special.

He has the confidence, arrogance, hunger and awareness that Ian Wright showed when Palace gave him his chance. After a little stutter when he looked a bit lightweight and prone to disappearing for spells he kickstarted his season when he scored away to Southend in the 4-1 debacle.
After that he just seemed to grow up and ran at defenders with pace and trickery and looked a class above the defenders he ws facing. Didn't know if he'd be bright enough to make the transition so quickly but last night proved he can.

I went to Dagenham in the pre-season friendlies and that was my first sighting, he certainly impressed me and I could not understand the reasons that held him back from being an automatic for a starting place in the team.
He was electric right from the start.

As I understand it the appearance/goal extras only come in to force if Brum are actually in the Premiership ,no doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong

But they have just signed Rowan Vine :fishing: :fishing: How many strikers do they need:confused:

Both such similar players, same knowledge.

If someone said keep DJ or have Jo Kuffour then i would ahve said keep DJ, but JK is just as good as DJ

If we had either of them playing for the whole of last season we would now be in the Championship.
