I notice today that the Dons had 21500 in attendance today against Bolton. I must admit that is a tremendous effort and totally justifies the move from SW19. I can remember the days when the NLS were in the cup final against Liverpool with 8 or 9000 supporters in Wembley and them playing First Division football in front of less than 5000.

Obviously they will always be NLS, but hats off to them today.

Where are all the doubters now? The real Wimbledon fans have a lot to thank Winkleman for, he has transformed their club, quadrupled their support and built one of the finest stadiums in the country, a world away from that dump Plough Lane.

I remember when he first announced his plans and the unjustified criticism he came in for. In my book he is a proper football visionary, the sort of chap we could do with at Brentford. I bet he would not have sacked Warburton. Our loss Glasgow Rangers gain.

Winkleman said if had a choice to do it all over again then he would have never moved Wimbledon..

Good support from a town that didn't have a football club 20 years ago. Doesn't change the fact that they should have been formed from scratch and started somewhere around about the 10th tier of English football instead of taking an existing club's identity. I'd always support Wimbledon AFC over this lot for that reason.

You do know it was free tickets for anyone with an MK post code today dont you?

Franchise gave them all away

MK Dons are giving away FREE tickets as they hope to reach an attendance of 30,000 (average 9,471) for their next home game against Bolton. https://t.co/w22tLXmeYT

scaramanga, you are in top-trolling form tonight - this thread and your post on The Scottish Manager thread.

I hope you garner the responses you crave, though I reckon most will see what you're up to.

Good luck.

Ive been in a 8 crowd at MK Dons when we took almost 3k and out numbered the home support.

Yes sometimes the numbes dont add up. I think MK give out tickets to anyone passing and count them in the attendance

Milton Keynes did already have a football club

A fan is still a fan regardless of what they paid for their ticket.

Have you okayed this statement with Ted? Not sure he'd agree...

AWFC are and always will be NLS to normal Brentford supporters.

If I didn't suspect you were intentionally trolling here I'd contemplate making you my first blocked GPG poster. The levels of wrong in you posting stagger me.

You gave it away with the 'sort of chap we could do with' bit. We had that sort of chap, but fought him off and don't play tomorrow at Kingsmeadow.

To celebrate the anniversary of Milton Keynes becoming a town.
