He's probably been reading the sh*te you lot keep writing about the players, then you wonder why they lose there confidence.

you make it sound like they were playing well, then we abused them, then they played badly - seems slightly the wrong way round to me. see i think they started playing badly, then the supporters got on their backs. yes, it doesn't help, but as Luton Bee points out, would u like us just to say "bravo, keep playing like that, very good....". how about a spell in the real world, mate?

besides which, dobbo hasn't been playing that well for a fair while now, and i think it's taken a LONG time for the bees fans on here to actively criticise - we're prepared, as far as i can see, to give the lad a chance, as he's one of our young stars, our captain, and a bee. your excuse is a bit of a poor one, if u ask me....

Given the 'quality' of the first half performance against Bristol (and others this season) supporters were pretty patient... the only audible frustration was when we wasted two short corners near the end of the half.

Fans weren't vociferously getting behind the team, but with such flat performances at home it isn't surprising.

To return to the original theme of the thread, no-one can doubt Dobbo's commitment, but his lack of pace in a back 4 is frightening: he didn't seem slow when he first came into the team, so I'm assuming it's down to the injury he had a couple of years ago (when we couldn't rest him as the squad was so small). In a back 5 it's less noticeable, but that formation causes us other problems.

If it is injury-related we should rest him as he could still be an asset for the future

Still think he was a better player before he was made captain, i still don't think he's the right man for the job as captain, and i'm begining to think he was better at the beging as a defensive midfielder not a right back

Dobbo can play in most areas of the pitch.. unfortunately (and i can testify being a slow LB) full-backs need pace.
