Drums

Been a bit of talk regarding this from the Aldershot game, so I thought I'd pose a question that has been bugging me for a few hours now.

Are drums banned or not from GP?

Drums

Yes, drums are banned, and so are drummers. Try taking a drum in, start banging it and then shout to everyone what you do for a living.

Drums

lol

most people already seem to know me now, and I'm not trying to hide from them either! lol

Just asking. I wonder if Aldershot will make any noise then at GP when they visit. They only sung when the drum went off.

Drums

I hate drums at football. If the Aldershot drummer attempts to bring in a drum, I think Andy Scott should personally put his foot through it. If the drummer boy still doesn't get it, give him a tamberine to keep his amused for 90 minutes :)

Drums

Knowing Brentford, we'll welcome the drummers from Aldershot with open arms.

My understanding is that musical instruments including drums are banned from GP - D&R weren't allowed to bring their drum in earlier this season

Can't seem to find anything on the O/S about it though

Drums

Personally hate drums, and glad Bees ban them, like to see the little noise Aldershot make without their drum!

Drums

All musical instruments should be banned from all football grounds - full stop ! At Aldershot, for example, it can't be very pleasant even for the home fans, having to listen to that racket at every match. I suspect that there was more than one drummer involved on Saturday - sounded like the whole British Army at one point !

Drums

I dont like the drums at other games but I liked the Aldershit drum as it was played properly :sorted:

If so then good. However it must be a new ruling as (a) I'm sure that the club actually bought a drum for Bees fans to use a few years back and (b) I'm sure that I've heard opposition drums at GP in the past.

Drums

The last time I was at GP the opposition had a drummer. ****ing years ago  Stockport.

:imwith:

Think our Stadium Manager introduced this rule at the time of the D&R game. Will try and find out for sure tomorrow (tonight now).

Drums at football is just wrong :nono:
Clapping and singing is proper football noise.
Though I must confess, I was impressed with the Aldershot drummer, I still wanted to put my foot through the drum

..................impressive drumming..................still a pest though......................

Drums

rattles are fine by me, tho illegal i believe.

the aldershit drumming, while accomplished, was camp, and they can keep it.

Drums

I was hoping to do a bass solo on the New Road roof like Brian May.

It'll be better than Glad All Over.....

Drums

I guess there isn't any point of adding a poll as we all seem to be in agreement that drums at football are a :nono:

Drums

Agree no drums although I quite fancy the idea of someone playing the last post on a trumpet for our final game against Conference bound Luton...

Drums

No to drums....unless Meg White is playing them hehe

Boy would that really p!ss them off.

Drums

I hated Aldershot and the drum for the gormless aping of the white stripes tune that ruined the atmosphere at many a Euro 2008 game.

Fantastic!!!!

On the drum issue. I spoke with Tony Ashley (the Safety Officer/Manager) after the first few games of the season were dominated by visiting drums. He said that they were banned henceforth. A decision that I heartily supported :sorted:

Tony is a breath of fresh air around the place. He has a "can do" attitude, supports what the club wants to achieve, knows the way forward re stewarding, stands up for our supporters and, in all fairness, we are damned lucky to have him.

We should have a word with him re the bugle come the time though :D

I think if I were to hit something/someone repeatedly with a wooden stick I'd be asked to leave the ground.....

Listening to five about spurs ,still have a rattler in the shelf end, and Pompey have built a stand for there bell boy come bookshop owner , but alas the other end next to the away fans ,oh happy days just to annoy them on there long journey home l o l ,so it seems the precident has been set and some grounds allowing musical instruments ???? not just the recs LITTLE DRUMMER BOY AH
