Dulwich Hamlet

Dulwich Hamlet’s first team are currently second in the Premier Division with two games in hand on leaders Dartford who have completed their league programme.

They can win promotion on Sunday when they play away to Crawley AFC who have only gained 1 point all season.

The win would put them level on points with Dartford but their goal difference is far to superior.

Promotion for Dulwich Hamlet’s first team to the Women’s National League could have repercussions for us next season as there reserve side, which finished this season in third place is likely to be a lot stronger if they strengthen their first team, and as their first team will no longer be in the league above Dulwich Hamlet Reserves will be able to be promoted should they win next seasons league

We also need to strengthen our squads as departing players will leave voids that need filling with better technical and tactical players. This season we should of been promoted but fell short in an away game which was drawn.

Comment from my daughter who plays for Dulwich - 'Hands down Brentford should have won the league this season. Benfica will struggle in the league above whereas Brentford would attract better players'.

If the promoted Dulwich first team stay in the division above at the end of next season, their reserves won't be eligible for promotion. So, second place to them would presumably be enough.

No... if Dulwich Hamlet are Promted on Sunday, then they will become a Tier 4 WNL side.

This means that their Tier 6 Reserve side can be promoted to Tier 5

Can see that as a indication that their Reserve team will get more focus now. Previously as the First Team were in the league above and therefore giving their reserves nowhere to go, I suspect the reserves were seen as glorified friendlies. But now they CAN achieve promotion, I suspect Dulwich will put more resources into their reserves. Going to make Brentford's bid for promotion even harder.

Totally agree...Actonians are also advertising for players for their 'Promotion Chasing' reserve team.

The League has rules for players playing both a first and reserve side... but now both their sides are not in the same league set up, these might not apply.
