Ealing Rd Momento

I was going to do this at Christmas but with the international break now upon us I thought it might give us something other than Covid and the last two performances to talk about.

So, I am fortunate to have some Ealing Rd memorabilia in my possession.
Small, but perfectly formed, pieces of the terrace (first crash barrier back, 10yds left of the goal as you look at the pitch).
I have one piece more than I need and it goes to a most deserving Bee (see attachment).
Just reply with a story, reminiscence or anything about ER/GP and you get the concrete.
I’ll decide the winner this time next Sunday and post it to the lucky winner immediately.

I have a unused hand sanitiser and I think it is only fitting it is reunited with part of the stand it clung onto for years in the hope that one day someone would actually us it. Unfortunately it was never used but once reunited with this piece of stand I will ensure it is used regularly and for the purpose intended

You’re the leader in the clubhouse right now Hullbee but as you can see there’s not a lot of competition right now

Shouldn't this be united with Brentford resident and well-known celebrity Nick Lowe to provide some rock and roll. Rather than send it I suggest you despatch it through his window while singing I love The Sound of Breaking Glass.

Mr. Lowe has asked me to provide you with his considered response to your proposal:

I have 2 Brentford mad grandkids 11 & 12 now. I have taken the to Griffin park since they have been toddlers. They live in Norfolk so it's only a couple of times a year.
Their last game was the 2-2 with Blackburn in February. The only tickets i could get was in the family stand in New Road and although they enjoyed the game they were gutted that we wasn't in Ealing Road.
The youngest has a bedroom full of Brentford stuff and loves collecting things. This would make a great Christmas present for him.

Heartwarming tales like this make me feel much better about both my grandfathers passing before I was born.

I was in the same boat mate. I never met either of mine.
I have been in Norfolk with my daughter and grandkids for over a month now and loving it.
It's all about creating special memories, although I have done my hamstring playing football over the park with them at the weekend. My running down the wing and crossing the ball are over now. Holding midfielder for me now lol

No mate Centre Half is the position. If you dont go up for corners it's a cynch. Move 5 yards in any direction slowly. Not at Championship level obviously. I mean Sundsy morning park league.

It closely resembles the piece of moonrock I bought from my Ukrainian neighbour which he kept as a memento of his previous career as a cosmonaut.
Tried selling it on eBay as moonrock first Liverbee but response was just as unenthusiastic.
Maybe it was all the ketchup and steamed onion stains on the flat side that put all the Planetary Geologist off

I've never been to GP, I am just jumping on the new ground hype. Therefore, this would give me a chance to experience the real terrace atmosphere of GP. I can even carry it round all 4 pubs for a few pints, once lockdown is over.

The urge to visit Griffin Park one more time got the better of me and so, by swinging and propelling myself from the washing line of a nearby garden, I managed to negotiate the New Road wall and I found these, wedged between the stand and what used to serve as the old burger hut.

Unlike Andy, I won't be giving them away. I'd prefer to auction them and sell to the highest bidder for my own financial gain. Please consider the probable age and rarity of these unique Griffin Park items, as I invite serious bids only please.

Wow, what treasure !!!!
I’m willing to offer the world.
Actually my most prized possession .... 5ml of Gordon Riddick’s spittle collected from the New Rd moat on a cold November Monday in November 1974.
Yeah, crazy I know but that is a pristine Chomp bar isn’t it Mr Mazz?

Just the wrapper I'm afraid. Actually, Chomp Bar would be a great name for a rapper wouldn't it? Chomp Bar and the Really Quite Cross Five?

Is there a reserve on the ear muffs ?

No reserve as such, but the Hester's have put in a favourable bid that I couldn't possibly disclose.

I think that bra belongs to Neil Wornock
More likely the woman doing her ironing during the FA Cup game.
"We can see the Twin Towers from here"

Ealing Rd Momento

Care to elaborate on that story
Standing in Hate Corner, for an FA Cup game, which we were getting hammered in, away fans start singing "We're going to Wemberley"
At this moment there was a well endowed woman in one of the flats behind the Wendy House doing her ironing in her bra and pants, someone, possibly Clarkie, apologies if it isn't, piped up with "We don't care, we can see the Twin Towers from here"
