I am very pleased Ryan is being given this chance and I hope he can make the most of it and get on a good run at this level.

Very disappointing!

The eight released can all be easily replaced, although I feel a little sorry for Nathan. Can any of the players apart from Abbey honestly say to us fans that they deserve to wear the shirt. They are totally inept and showed about as much passion as Greenholme`s missus, so I heard from Brentford Bob. Can`t wait to see the back of the mugs.

We still have to pay off/ship out Brooker. Not TBs fault. At least TB is trying.

However what really saddens me is the thought of having to watch Tillen, Heywood, Frampton & O`Connor next season and possibly even after that. Us fans are being asked to forget their gutless displays which got two managers sacked and sent the club one step further to oblivion. Would a deserter be welcomed back to the platoon? I think we should transfer list the above four on purely financial grounds - hopefully disguising their sh*tness to stoopid future employers. I only hope TB is doing everything he can to get rid of these high paid *****, after all TB is blameless in their contracts at BFC.

Although it is obvious that O`Connor has lost the captaincy to Mackie.

Can`t see Kuffour staying unless his family live in Brentford and a ASBO curfew has him reporting to Brentford Police Station at 18:00 after BEES home games.

The only bright side of all this and BUs love in with ER is that it is saving me a fortune.:D

Like Brentford Bob will wait till the last minute before I consider buying a ST.:wave: :sorted:

I would have given Keith a chance next season too, with him being in a League 2 promotion side two seasons ago, but maybe AS knows something we dont about the lad so thats perhaps why they got rid!

Surely just because Abbey's been released it just means we dont have to pay him for the summer he could still train with us and maybe get a contract next year

In my opinion, he seemed to play better away from home and I dont think you get to many of those Mark! :)

I sure hope TB can get someone a lot better for the money Mark!

You're on thin ice mate. I've done my tour of duty thank you. If it takes you 20 games to form an opinion of him then so be it. :)

I've seen enough of him to know he was surplus to requirements and so did TB and AS.

We could be saving around £8k per week at present now that:

Shipperley £2000
Owusu £1800
Keith £1100
Willock £700 ?
Pinault £700 ?
Griffiths £800 ?
Richards £400 ?
Nelson £1000 ?

Obviously do not know the exact figures but would imagine I'm not too far off the mark. ;)

Get that arsewipe Brooker out and that's another £1500 thereabouts.

I can see that ****** hanging around for the whole season pocketing £78000. :mad2:
Can you believe that we pay him £78k per annum. :rolleyes:

Oh and I suppose you were at Blackpool and Huddersfield on your "tour of duty" this season Mark.
I am not having a pop at you, its just that I dont remember seeing you at many away games this season. :)

I believe it was his cross that lead to the first goal at Blackpool, so you could say that turned that game. :shrug:

Oh and by the way it doesn't take 20 games.....:wave:

lol What has this got to do with Joe Keith. :confused: Whether you are or not - :grey: - I've been to hundreds of away games so if you think the thought of going to Huddersfield for the x time is exciting then please go ahead, be my guest.

I'm glad it doesn't take you 20 games to form an opinion of him but clearly you've formed the wrong one anyway. Keith gave poor return for the outlay and it's far better we take a chance on someone else.

I didn't see the chainsaw effect a la Martin Allen but if a couple of others ;) are moved on TB hasn't done too badly.

Just because you say your not having a pop at someone right before you have a pop at them doesn't make it ok.

Keith was breathing out of his backside by the end of games (the home ones I saw anyway). We can do better and the management agree.

The reason I am saying it Mark, is because we are in discussion about a player that has been at the club since January. I think he has played his better games away from home, these games I did not see you, so I presume you were not at these games. So that is maybe why we have a different opinion on the player!!!!

I am not going on about past seasons and couldn't give a toss about how many away trips you have made and whether they are exciting or not!!!

Keith had something. His performances at Yeovil & Hudders were top notch and he wasn't too shabby at home to Oldham. A good deliverer of a dead ball and could keep the thing and give it to another in the same team.
I see Jay's point as one or to of the lot from last year looked better away and presumably that is down to a bit more time and space. I don't think Ide showed his true colours at GP but hopefully it is his time next season whereas Keith is history now.:sorted:

Hopefully we get to keep Joe , but unlikely to be honest.
My local rumour mill suggests Plymouth, QPha or Bristol C ?

Great to keep Charlie Ide who shows great promise and will score packets n League 2 given the service & luck with unjuries.

Shame about Abbey & Pinault I feel.

Glad to see Teflon Nelson at last get the boot, never improved from day one in my view, got worse if anything.

However, Peters I cannot understand being taken on again and nothing against the bloke personally, but Alex Rhodes for another season.....I am speechless .............................................:confused:

We only need 10/12 quality signings and promotion should be realistic. :idea:

Tillen is still under contract unfortunately, but I agree that these three would struggle to get in to a subbuteo team. rofl

Hopefully we can offload a few others still in contract such as Heywood & Brooker.

i suspect it will be 4 or 5 'quality' signings (eg experienced players) plus a punt on some youngsters / non-league players.

these are always a lottery - for every dj or hurlock or roberts there are 3 or 4 who fall just or well short.

To be fair, Rhodes has at least got pace. Even if he just comes on as a 75th minute sub he could do some damage, considering the sluggishness of some defenders in the division (just look at Matty Heywood :rolleyes:).

Hopefully it will be Bournemouth 04 all over again!

mixed feelings really sad to see that nellie and owusu are off:sad: :sad: but glad to see the back of pinault and willock.:wave: :wave: Hope we are not going to use masters as no1 keeper as well, having said that i will not form an opinion until i have seen the end result of the close season activity:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Hehe i hope not too, although getting over 9 thousand people into GP would be good! It'd just be good to see Alex find some form, pace might just be the thing that sets us above the rest, particularly if Jo stays. Maybe TB has gone for the 2 quick strikers approach - hence keeping hold of Rhodes and Peters.

Fitness looked to be a problem. Always looked to be struggling at the end of a game and certainly didn't have enough to provide cover for his full back.

Probably a fair assessment. Even for the O's he struggled to make a difference for 90 minutes. Perhaps we were lucky in having Matt Lockwood behind him, they worked really well together.
