All second year scholars have been released with the exception of Lewis Dark and Ross Montague. Karle Carder-andrews signed pro forms earlier in the season.

I watched the Lincoln/Bristol play -off last night...just to see the standard of Div 2...most impressed with both teams...we will have to get in some good players to compete if last night was any indication to go by...both teams played good footy...more so Bristol...they would have walked all over our team of last season...no long ball stuff either...hope TB and AS..watched the game...YOU REDS....:wave:

Don`t worry we have a defence full of pace in O`Connor, Frampton, Mackie, Heywood and a tricky little winger bombing up and down the wing next season in Brooker.:fishing:;)

I didn`t mention Chris " mug off the BEES fans" Day who is on a 12 year contract>:fishing: ;)

Contracts offerd to Rhodes and Kuffour, Rhodes is staying ( quote PG ) , one down, just Jo to go...come on Jo, do a great job for us in a promotion winning side annd the skys your limit mate :sorted:

I think that all the negative comments re Alex Rhodes are unfair. If the previous managers (not counting Allen) had played him as a striker then you would see the best of him. You must also remember that he had a pretty serious injury which hampered his appearances under Martin Allen. If he had a decent run of games I'm surre that you would see the best of him. I know he is arrogant but he also has confidence in his own ability. Give him a fair chance

I believe that you will find that he hasn;t. Also his playing stats bear out that he hasn't been given a fair crack. When he got a run at Grays he was getting good reviews. All I am saying is give him a fair chance. What did Shipperley bring? Wht not try the younger players at the end of the season -or the last 12 matches. Poor management.

Billy Hunt,im not saying that he deserves a contract from that but at the end of the day he deserves to be given a decent run in the first team ,if after say 10 games he isnt upto scratch then get rid of him.

Hopefully Butcher can get the best out of him and Peters (and hopefully their best will be good enough).

Just as a matter of interest, where are we going to find 3/4 of a new squad at a moment's notice after 10 matches of 07/08? Coz there seem to be a lot of people on perform or leave status.

I believe that you are a bit blinkered, and we all have players that we hate. I am not Alex, just a supporter of his talent -given a fair chance. If after a run of 10 games and he hasn't performed then get rid of him. I also notice that manu supporters were knocking Butcher -before he had started. GIVE PEOPLE A FAIR CHANCE

I don't hate him at all. Alex is a nice fella but he's had his chance in my opinion. I'm not in the minority.

Thats fair comments, but his stats at Brentford do not show that he has had a fair crack at starts-or indeed minutes on the pitch. When he was at Newmarket he was a prolific goal scorer. I hope that he gets a fair crack and proves the majority of supporters wrong.

If this is true great news, if 2 of the 3 (or better still all 3) could be moved on it would free up alot of money!

And then when Brooker is gone everyone will be very happy with the dead wood moved on!

Let hope it is true!
