Eng vs WI: Fourth Test

Currently 64-1. Looks to be a bit of movement and bounce for the bowlers definatley a result pitch (providing it doesn't **** down as its forecasted to do). I imagine it will be very difficult to bat on last judging by the bounce already seen so it was a good toss to win.

64-2 now b***ocks poor shot from Tresco

Went to The Oval yesterday, awesome day, loads of Brentford there, great stuff

I'm going Sunday, hopefully. :bound: :bound:

Eng vs WI: Fourth Test

87 runs for the 8th wicket and now 50 for the last wicket - Harmisons going crazy having hit 3 sixes already. Wasn't that long ago when we had a tail from 8 onwards who'd be lucky to add a further 10 runs.

Still, 460-9 and with the exception of Anderson who's 8 not out and still batting , every one else made double figures. :bound:

With your recent record, have you considered giving the cricket betting a miss :fishing:

anyhow, 470 all out and Anderson made double figures as well.

Only thing stopping this series going 4-0 is the rain.

Its too addictive with this "sessions" stuff.

Mind you, it stops me drinking :D

The windies are woeful. They were in a great position and then threw it away. This is not a good enough test for the big series up ahead against South Africa and Australia. Nice to win easy though. :D

Because they were both out for 0 when a big first session was needed. Just coz they play like C**** doesn't make them C****, does it?

True they are poor, but we are now number 2 in the world, a position SA achieved by playing Zimbabwe and Bangledesh numerous times. They are now being 'found out' by Sri lanka, a team we lost a seies to recently but at least that was in their 'manor' - SA are being thrashed in SA!!

We, England, have come on hugley in the last 2 years - let's support that progress, and whilst we may (probably) struggle against the Aussies next year, do not foget SA nearly did the Aussies in Oz last year.

As a test match attender of 20+ years this is the best I have ever seen (apart from Broad's awesome batting in Oz years ago, and Goughie's hat-trick at the MCG)

C'mon England....

WHAT ???? They saved the bl**dy day yesterday !!!

Have you forgotten about yesterday ? Fickle or what !!

Same here Edmundo. Could it be over in three days??

Eng vs WI: Fourth Test

Well, with a 318 first innings lead, we're bound to make them follow on. Do they look like a team who will bat all day tomorrow. Sadly, I think I will be applying for a refund, when I'd much rather be at the Oval watching the cricket. :(

Me too. :(

This is the problem with the Oval Test. Lords is ok because its outside the footy season, but with the Oval it has to be the Sunday to avoid a clash with Brentford. And by then its often either all over or nearly so.

Sometimes I wish England were perhaps just not quite as good :D

Fantastic peformance from England yesterday all round great team effort. The bowling was superb and the difference in fielding, running between the wicket was emmense. This is a good sign as this is becoming so important in modern cricket nowadays. England looked like a well oiled machine and the hard work put in behind the scenes is really starting to show. I don't think i've ever seen a better days cricket in my life a joy to watch.

I loved Key's catch yesterday. His reaction speed considering it was on his left was unbelievable.

Those Tests are in Sri Lanka.

Well I believe Galle and Colombo haven't moved continent anyway ;) ;)

IMHO the Sri Lankan team we lost to was better, Murali firing for a start, but we'd have lost 3-0 if Atapattu had been captain rather than Tillekeratne, who was too cautious.

That is almost irrelevant though. England are the 2nd best in the world, and will prove it in South Africa. However I think that if India get a batting wicket keeper and a top class new ball pair they will compete with Australia before we do.

Without a top class spinner we will end up too far behind the game if we are below our very best.

Great performance from England, and the bowlers in particular.

England's top order have won them many matches recently but the bowlers, and Harmison and Anderson in particular did it this time.

Superb fast bowling from Harmison, the best in the business, and unplayable if the pitch is bouncy. 5 boucy ones next year please.

We won it in one session on Friday, getting far more than we should have done with the bat and then ripping out the top order.

From then they did well to make it close (ish).
