England vs. springcocks

very comitted performance from the dutch in the first half, but England regained their composure in the second and after 2 deserved penalties, and a good chargedown for the try, fully earned their win.

the cocks are much improved and could well upset the aussies, but it`s all set up for kiwi vs. England in the final for me.

can`t wait.

New Zealand V England final it could be. I now fancy England to be the most likeliest finalist now. Let SA, Australia and NZ fight it out for the other spot.

You should have heard the Channel 7 panel here – they were gutted when England won.

They were all hopeful at half time England were going to lose, when it was obvious to all except 4 very stupid Australians in a TV studio with a very limited understanding of the game that South Africa were going to run out of steam sooner or later and get their inbred asses whipped.

The game was also a great advertisement as to why Nike goods are overpriced rubbish, with the tissue paper shirts.

Reading the OZ papers today they are all attacking England saying that Saturdays match proves that they can be beaten.

NO CHANCE.

one of the least convincing England performances over the last few years with so/too many mistakes YET we still won comfortably in the end against one of the top 4 nations in the World. Really can't see anything but an England v NZ final

He's right, when England play badly they can still beat most teams. The only chance any team has is if they are on top form and England are not. I don't wanna jynk anything, so all I'll say is that England will have to play badly to disapoint.

My thought on the match was it shows how good we are, we played badly but still won convincingly. May have had a stroke of luck on the try but the South Africans tactics were such that this could happen as they persisted in the high ball.

England looked nervous beacuse so much hype had been put on the game. If all goes to plan we play NZ in the final, which if we are on form we will win.!!

A pretty average performance from Engalnd but the win was the most important thing.

Wilkinsons kicking was again superb, was probably the difference between the sides, and our defence was superb too.

It looks likely we will make the final now, unless France can do something special, and with the easier route we must now be favourites.

Yes, you've finally seen what I've been saying all along. England have no bottle for the "big" games. This was a pool game for Christ's sake. There's been no "hype" for this game - but what of a final against the winners New Zealand eh?

Thats a fair and true point there nana. I just hope we don't bottle it when it really matters.

You will........ as usual. But glad to realise you're happy to see your teams historic weakness. Remember 1983 at Cardiff? 27-3!

no need for :fishing: here!

Not sure if England will bottle it, what might be a problem is age. They may just get too tired in thr heat

They shouldn'tdo, considering that they are one of the few countries who don't ever have to play twice a week. Also, should wemake the final, our opposition will almost certainly of had a tougher route to the final, so we tiredness shouldn't be an issue.
