Erm...

Hello, R's fan here. I haven't got a ticket for Sheff Weds away tomorrow and can't afford the hefty train price at the moment, so I was thinking of popping along to our lovely neighbours with a couple of mates because we've nothing planned and just can't go a Saturday without footy! Sad to see you're doing about as well as we are in your league though, but I see you're playing Gills tomorrow; should make for a good match. Expecting a good crowd? Which stand is the best for atmosphere?

Cheers - a very skint Rangers fan ;)

Erm...

Your brave being on here!! rofl
Haha, I'm guessing your lot aren't too fond of us lol But I won't turn up in the blue and white hoops, just looking to watch a good game of football with a few mates this weekend as I can't afford the trip to Hillsborough, and I saw bees at home as perfect opportunity; I could always trot along to The Valley for a London derby but I may as well go to Sheffield for those prices! Trying to save money for the trip to West Brom on Halloween anyway ;)

Edit: Oops, I've just seen you're a Forest fan :P

Haha yes I am but I have an interest in Brentford too. Should be an interesting time when we play Brentford twice in a week firstly in the Paint Pot Trophy and then in the league.

Have fun Saturday!! and keep just the fact you a Rangers fan quite, I am sure you can guess why. rofl

Enjoy your day Brad. We need your money, and you can't beat Brentford for the pubs.

Cheers mate & haha, I'm well aware of the pub situation! Popped down twice when we were in division 2 and I enjoyed the day out on both occasions :sorted:

You are welcome at Griffin Park mate, we need as many punters as poss!....Braemar Road is the best for view and Brook Road for atmosphere.:sorted:

JB...Staunch Bees fan(but not blinkered!);)

Cheers mate, we've never really had that much of a problem with Bees but it was nice to have rivals in Div 2. I'll decide tomorrow whether we'll go for Braemar (view) or Brook Road (atmosphere) Cheers! ;)

The best view is actually upstairs in Brook Road. And the atmosphere at the moment isn't all that, so don't get your hopes up. And remember to join in with a thunderous clap when we start singing Aye Aye Yippie!

Hmm, I've normally found views from side stands better than those of behind the goal but I'll definitely take that into consideration! If I can get 3 seats with close proximity in the Upper Brook Stand, that'll probably do me for tomorrow ;)

...If you like the choice of a wide range of mind-altering substances, proceed to buy your ticket for downstairs, here you are offered anything from piff to punk and may get a touch of racism thrown in there aswell

Well a thread on this forum I read about the Brook Road terrace really put me off from going there. Whenever the R's aren't playing on Saturday or I can't afford to get to the away game and I've gone as a neutral to a match I've always liked to sit/stand in the most vocal stand but I've heard of drug-takers and chavs who come down in groups and shout stupid/even racist things to impress their peers, stinky people, 9 year old smokers...and a few other off-putting things. Really changed my mind, Brook upper/Braemar it is ;)

:sorted: Wise choice mate, have a good day, I reccomend the Cheeseburgers from the Vans in the forecourt, always hits the spot. :D

Brook Road upper is the best view mate. If you sit towards the right hand side (most central seats are season tickets anyway) you may find a bit of chanting there.

I quite enjoyed today! View from Upper Brook Road was decent and the people around us seemed friendly. It was pouring down with rain pre-kick off and there were major leaks at the back of the stand. GP's a far cry from most of the stadia in our league (even Loftus Road!; facilities/catering-wise) but still a nice old ground.
I was obviously a neutral and not concerned whether the pikeys or your lot went ahead, just wanted to watch a good game of football. Controversy though! Their number 9 seemed to take quite a tumble in the box, I didn't see much contact and definitely wasn't worthy of a red card for your 'keeper. Found the chant about 'Mousinho' quite funny and he looked decent between the sticks considering he's an outfield player!
Half-time, radio on, BBC London...R's 2-0 down to Wednesday. When your PA announced this a mighty roar went up around the ground...I was angry! Thus, I was hoping the Gills would fight their way back into the game and they dominated the 2nd half, could've scored 3 or 4.
Still joined in the booing of Duncan Jupp and their number 9 though. There was a bit of trouble at the station on the way back with small missles being thrown from each side of the platform. The one chant I could join in with was the West London one :D

Erm...

Will we be seeing you again Brad??

Possibly in the not-so-distant future. We've got the journey up to Stoke-on-trent on the 9th of December; our last two visits (both victories) there have been marred with violence between both sets of supporters and last season (they don't seem to like QPR and as it goes, not many home fans I've come across on our travels do either!) At The Britannia we saw the infamous incident in which a Stoke hooligan invaded the pitch and attacked our 'keeper, Simon Royce by pinning him against the net and assaulting him. As I say, we've won our last two visits to Stoke but that makes for an even more intimidating atmosphere...they don't like losing up there! I see you're playing the giants of Crewe Alex on that day (saying that, they beat us at LR last season!). I'll see how it goes and whether I am going up to Stoke but it'd be nice to go back to Griffin Park some time in the future. (preferably for a Rangers match!)

F*** Me, a 'nice' QPR fan?

Good luck to you mate and thanks for coming over to the 'Theatre of Screams' and thus adding to the crowd..

I brought a Derby County fan with me today and hopefully he'll be coming back too.. not a good game though..

Haha, we do exist! And I thought it wasn't a fantastic game from Brentford's point of view but as a neutral I thoroughly enjoyed it. ;) I tend to see exciting games as a neutral like after QPR's Friday night defeat to Ipswich, I went to The Valley on the free Saturday and saw 2 elbows, 2 red cards, 2 penalties vs Bolton lol

Thing is though Brad, all fans cheer when the team very local to them is losing. I'm old enough to remember the bees and rangers derbys they always had a certain spice to them. I was at Bournemuff last season and a massive cheer went up when the saints were losing at h/t. Glad you enjoyed your day though.
