Everton v Liverpool

Everton v Liverpool

Mad decision if you ask me!!!!!!!!!

Everton v Liverpool

Another pen to Liverpool. They scored.
2-1 to Liverpool.

Everton v Liverpool

Two absolute stone cold penalties to Liverpool, but Everton moaning about not getting two highly marginal claims for themselves.

Everton v Liverpool

Clattenburg is a ****, he got so many decisions wrong in my eyes.

Everton v Liverpool

I always thought it was stonewall not stonecold, am I wrong or is the great Umondo wrong?

Everton v Liverpool

So you were wrong!!

Everton v Liverpool

Not at all. That's not what the link says. Having spent a few minutes googling both terms, it's clear that both are used to mean exactly the same thing. Given the derivations of the terms, the most obvious explanation is that stone-cold was used first and stonewall caught on as a result of someone either mishearing and repeating it, or a commentator making such a mistake. I think it means we're both right.

Everton v Liverpool

I would rather we were both wrong ;)

Everton v Liverpool

two highly marginal claims for themselve

You are joking?...That challenge on Lescott in the last minute was a STONE COLDER!

...Disgrace from Clattenberg.

Everton v Liverpool

You are 100% certain that the two players went down because Carragher pulled them down rather than Lescott leant back into Carragher, are you? I've seen it a dozen times and despite what the punters have said, I reckon it would have looked the same if it was Lescott's fault.

Everton v Liverpool

I reckon if it was if it was down the other end and it was a Liverpool player being taken down in the same situation you would'a seen Clattenberg give it. Of course it was a pen. I think Everton have suffered from the Big club/little Club syndrome in this case I'm affraid.

Everton v Liverpool

lol Everton a little club

by the way, Thorpe is a big reason that we aren't lower down the table.

In comparison to Liverpool, I do consider them smaller.

Thorpe. That shows how bad we really are.

Everton v Liverpool

..........ditch Paul Robinson....Phil Neville for keeper.....nice save................

He had his arms wrapped around him, whether they went down at all thats a penalty. Kuyt should have been sent off too. Awful refereeing.

Everton v Liverpool

........nice two footed lunge Mr Kuyt..................

Everton v Liverpool

It says that he will not referee a Premier League match - So does that mean he will referee a Football League match then? What a crock of sh*t if so.

Everton v Liverpool

Ok so maybe Lescotts second was a penalty but he did fall like a sack of spuds on top of Carragher, apart from that everything else was correct in my eyes

Everton v Liverpool

he didnt touch him though and it wasnt a vicious lunge

Everton v Liverpool

lol What drugs you on Hanworth!

Have you heard of the word intent. It's in the laws of the game. You can be dismissed for throwing a punch and it not connecting.

Anyone going two feet off the ground should be dismissed and I'm amazed he didn't walk for it.

Everton v Liverpool

****ing hate it when they drop them, should be backing em to the hilt unless they seriously and i mean seriously **** up in law not in opinion. Whats more if the authority's that be have deemed he is not worthy to ref premiership game why should he be on the football league which he no doubt will be. (Although i think he is more than capable of it)

Theres no intent in the laws was taken out a few years ago. You can be penalized for attempting to trip, attempting to charge etc but there is no mention of intent.

But yes i agree he should have gone, it was probably this that got him taken off the prem not the penaltys

What about intentional handball?

Everton v Liverpool

Clattenburg's been receiving death-threats....

(well he would be if I had his mobile number.....lol )

If Kuy(n)t had connected with the player he missed Everton would have had 3players off.... one permanently. Disgrace.

Enjoy your week-end off Clattenburg  I'm sure Benitez can sort you out some tickets for a match.

Everton v Liverpool

Thought Gerrard showed his worst side, persuading a ref to send off a fellow professional does not befit an England "Hero"...thought he went down too easily for the penalty as well, not for the first time I guess.

Everton v Liverpool

Well Clattenburg would have been wrong not to send Hibburt off, wouldn't he? Maybe Gerrard said something like, "those observers will mark you down if you get this card the wrong colour?"

Everton v Liverpool

Typical Liverpool can never do wrong, not our fault - Heysel, Hillsborough ..
Definate penalty on Lescott, Same old crap from Gerrard.. I did not see benitez comments probably like wenger, could not see the incident.
What chances of Clattenberg at GP On Saturday ? Crap ref for a Crap game??

Those that can lip read tell me it was a little more to the point than that, which appeared to persuade the ref to change it from the yellow, which he had got out of his pocket, to the red card.

I just hope someone returns the favour in the near future...then of course the ref will be a national disgrace and he will be hounded out by the bully boys of the big four.

Everton v Liverpool

Gerrard more than likely said 'f'kin yellow' and he would have been right too

Everton v Liverpool

I see Clattenburg has a free weekend this coming weekend :fishing:

To be honest no one knows what was actually said. I think its more likely that he got a shout in the ear from the lino for the red.

More likely because he is refereeing in Moscow on thursday than because if last saturday. :fishing:

Old Pals act. He's more likely to make mistakes if he's knackered so they've given him next weekend off to stop a possible witch hunt.

Everton v Liverpool

clattenburg's one of the best in the prem, btw. he just had a bit of a mare :D

more to the point, what was hibburt doing?! why not just trust your keeper to save the shot - it was on gerrard's wrong foot....
