I care because the 3rd round of the cup from the draw to the playing of the games was once something special. The buzz around Exeter, particularly with the kids, is that the mighty Liverpool are coming to town and they turn up with that lot. Imagine the disappointment. It's a lose lose for everyone - if Exeter win, it de-valued, if they lose Liverpool feel justified. It should be like the European competitions where you name a squad for the competition and you have to work within that. At least that way they'd get found out later in the competition.

Summary - it's sh*t and it's yet another example of how football has lost a lot of its magic.

The FA Cup lost it's most of it's magic years ago, playing the semi-final put another nail in it's coffin at Wembley.. non-league clubs keep the magic going for me.. not Exeter V's Liverpool... Liverpool should win quite easy I say..

I reckon there should be a rule that says once you have played a FA Cup game a minimum of say seven players that played in that game must play in all further games unless players are injured or suspended

Yep agree with all of that, shame about the equaliser was hoping Exter might get a few. The whole of football except the obvious will be behind Exeter tonight due to the disrespect shown. Come on the Grecians !

I heard Steve Perryman being interviewed on Radio 5 Live before the game due to his Exeter connection. He is an example of someone who has a true love for this competition unlike Klopp. He said that he was once asked what his favourite Spurs chant about him was. He said he thought about this for a long time but eventually said it was 'when Steve went up to lift the FA Cup we were there'
