Thanks for your full notes Hobbsy
No probs, Beesotted ones were good as well and a lot quicker than me!
That's been noted and we are evaluating whether or not your Kpi's need to be adjusted.
I take your point, and it's a good one. However, I still believe that he should have taken the 'neither confirm nor deny' line. Denying it was plain daft.
It wasn't his response to the Simon Moore question that got me, it was the one about players leaving when he said no one had made a bid for any players and I think he repeated that a couple of times. He could of easily said yes we have had a bid for 1 player and not been specific, or said that he expects one to go before September. Given that he got asked the question twice about Simon he must have knew it was all but a done deal.
I was going to ask him about his interview at Wolves but I'm glad I didn't!
I remember walking out of the Hive from this feeling so excited about the season ahead, in awe of our manager, and very confident of promotion:
. 'Conor McAleny will be a great asset for us this season, we tried to get him last year, but we got Trotta instead'
. 'The way Javi is applying himself in training he could be here for three years.'
. 'Playing Milwall, Celtic and Cardiff (in pre-season) will make the team better coping with big games.'
. 'No room for experimentation this year, our budget has been improved.'
. 'We have ambitions for the chamionship, as do our players.'
How could it all go so wrong, so quickly?
I liked what I saw of Conor, not really involved against Vale, quiet v Sheff U but a game changing sub appearance v Gills, was that enough to suggest that our season was so reliant on him, I think his importance has become bigger than it should have been and a bit of an excuse to people wanting to explain our poor start.
