If you note the gap between them is 6" wider than a 747 wingspan

And BEFORE any smartass comments about the A380 "super jumbo" the windows of the 286th floor on both towers can be opened to allow the plane to pass unhindered.

But that would infringe on any airconditioning.

Would it not be better to hang the top part of the buildings, say floor 250 to the roof, from adjustable sky hooks?

Access from floor 249 upwards would be tricky, but I'm sure somewhere like the Loft Shop, could provide a drop down ladder system to overcome the problem.
