I used to go to most of the fans forums even though I had a long journey home afterwards. Many fans just don't live near enough to GP to make that sort of journey on a wednesday evening. However even when the times were really bad on & off the pitch, I doubt there were ever more than 60 attending and this was not during the holiday season. Around 40 in July with a game on elsewhere seems pretty good to me in comparison.
Was there ever any mention on anything being "easily achievable" .

Giving the visitors a small dugout seems petty.It looks silly and could create a "bunker"mentality which might just backfire.

He shifted the blame onto the ticket office as he said he asked them what we should charge, and they came back with a recommendation of normal prices.
He also said that reducing ticket prices would incur a loss and is not necessarily the way to solve it.

Imagine the loss we made when we played Peterborough at home 9 or so years ago didnt they let in everyone free and there were 11,500 people there. This guy seems to be shifting alot of answers to looking at the negatives.

Andrew Mills has got us in the "small club" bracket and won't be swayed from this. He's made his own mind up about the potential at BFC, which doesn't sound too good.
Matthew Benham is the man to take BFC forward IMO.

I don't understand your meaning
All I was typing was that anyone who sits in meetings at GP can't possibly see us a small club anymore.
MB has taken us forward in quick time and I hope it continues.

Only a few notable points from me, the summaries above are a fair reflection, on a fairly uneventful Fans Forum.
*We will sign another keeper
*Andrew Mills is all about the business. I'll continue to give him the benefit of the doubt, but hopefully, he'll see some value in investing in the local community, as well as trying to make as much money as possible at BFC.
*Andy seemed a bit put out by fan criticism, notably at MK Dons. I would have thought he was more thick skinned.
*We have given up on getting anymore money from the Turner deal
*Dickson tribunal decision expected on Monday
*BFC are talking to the catering company about the catering contract and improvements that can be made
*Some money will be set aside to improve GP, now that LR is not on the horizon.
*At tonights BFC board meeting, some alternative ideas to LR are being "kicked around"
In summary, the panel last night seemed split into two. Several comments from Andrew Mills about "Andy, Terry and myself" deciding transfers, having meetings, previous lacklustre board, etc. I got the distinct impression that we have a fairly impotent board now. Mills, Scott, and more importantly, Benham run the club. Who needs the board ?

Didn't we have some sort of sponsorship to cover the loss? We also had 2,000plus ST holders that had paid in advance for that game.

I haven't seen the pics but I'm told that it resembled an episode of Waiting For God.
I wouldn't ask about catering and things as I manage to survive two hours in a ground without needing a culinary feast.
As for that negativety surrounding MK, I was peed up but it was cold and watching that performance through beer goggles was hard for 87 minutes. Surely someone should explain that results are great but that performance was cack even though I smile my head off when I think about it.
You put yourself out for games and take time off work and lose out on your sleep etc but not to go to a fans forum, 40 might upset the panel but how many Brentford fans actually live in Brentford anymore? How about having it next year on a Saturday an hour or so after a friendly or something, the numbers would be there.

Results justify it was his answer (and I thought he alluded to saying the reason why everything goes through Weston is because he is our best player), although the panel then seemed a bit resigned to the uphill task of improving on last year's results.
I found his tipp tappy football remark quite flippant for an ex-pro, possibly because the question had struck a nerve.
AS suggested negating the opposition is the style the team plays.
Why can't we negate them by going 2-up or keeping the ball really well

MB owns 25% of the club
MB controls the club via controlling appointments to the Executive that run the club on a day-to-day basis (currently comprises Alan Bird, Andrew Mills and Andy Scott).

Or when defending corners maybe leaving a couple of players forward in attacking positions for a quick counter attack

There's the gamble of the result, though, if we win well the forum descends in to an arse licking competition and if we lose it could just turn in to a 'have a cheap dig' night.
The attendence ortheir demographic didn't really matter, Dyke was practically slidding his chair towards the door by 9, as his chauffeur had arrived.
I thought Mills embarrassed himself by suggesting that we have an aging decrepide fanbase. Has he ever been into Ealing Road/ Mad Max Creche?
Had he been at wedding? He was dressed like a mix between an usher, willy wonka and a bond villain.
There were enough questions and debate, Dyke chaired it fairly well and it flowed. I suppose 90 mins of solid chit chat is fair enough and all the the relevant questions got asked even if some weren't really answered.
I was suprised to see BIAS had only 2 questions e-mailed to them in advance. Maybe they should go through the gpg next time.

Nope and good reply by the way.
I must make a point of emailing next time, the only problem I have with that is that one question leads to answer and probably another question on the back of the answer and so on. I don't think that works.

It did lead on a little and there were elements of conversation, but I had a think of 10-15 questions I'd want asked and by 9 all of them had been asked in various guises if not answered to my satisfaction.
I would have liked to know what our non-league scouting is like, after the insight in to league scouting, given the fact that we're finding it so hard to get the right league players in.

Did it clash with his daughter's bday again?
Maybe he wanted to catch the last 15 of the Hendon game or wanted to get a solid 20 hours kip before the board meeting tonight.
I thought Mr Bird playing with his gameboy thing within the first ten minutes gave the impression of less then 100% commitment.
All questions got answered anyway and even if the panel looked bored at times, I didn't think they were disrespectful, except for the fanbase comment.

Put it another way then earth. What don't you think he can do? Do you think he's sat in the boardroom thinking 'i'd build Lionel road myself but these BU fools won't let me, why they won't even let me up the wage budget to 30m" he's got an option to buy the club in 4 years that BU can't dodge unless they win the lottery. He pays the bills and that's always who controls anything, although your marriage may be different :shrug:
