Could your explain the £7.9m reduction which only affects us as a promoted side, and doesn’t affect Norwich and Watford as promoted sides, now relegated. Is it that we don’t get a share of last 3 years monies, but they do because they were previously in PL ?
It's a COVID refund to broadcasters. The other two promoted clubs did not have to pay it as they paid it in the previous season (when they were in the PL)
Don’t understand that. Surely the broadcasters of PL matches, Sky, BT, Amazon etc… we’re getting even bigger TV udiences when people weren’t able to go to games live.
The ever-reliable @SwissRamble did a blog on it recently. His estimate was that the total money pot would rise 11% in 2022/23 vs 2020/21. For a team like Palace, the share (including TV) would rise from £117m to £127m if they repeated 14th place.
Is it worth elevating your excellent comprehensive schedule to be a new wiki? It certainly has the credentials - and wouldn’t need to be updated to have value.
I can't see how they got that figure. They've got more resources than us however. Nobody knows until the PL publishes the distributions to the clubs. It used to be in December each year, but we've not seen anything for a couple of seasons now...
Well my (brown nose) Merit payment goes to Banana. He has set out his calculations,which the other lot haven’t! Bet the difference is in the share of the (enhanced) International revenues. If Banana is right, then the difference between 17th and 14th pays for nearly 50 per cent of our current wage bill ! And hopefully we will achieve 13th or above …
Well, there appears to be little difference on the Domestic calculations (£1380m v 1401m). The key difference is the size of 21/22 International pot of £1370m (your spreadsheet) and 20/21 pot of £1114m (925+189 Swiss Ramble above). So if the pot has grown between 20/21 and 21/22 you would probably be right.

He did take some cash back out a while back. Who knows what’s happened this season. I assume he’s comfortable with things.
IIRC, that was for loans specifically for purchases of land for the Lionel Road development that were repaid from the settlement with the developer. Not general cash for the day-to-day running of the Club.
Unless the numbers have gone down from the £105m, which I don't remember. Time to dig out another spreadsheet.
