Unfortuantly he in my opinion prevented us from going onto better things last year. We played him v Chesterfield and Peterboro and both games he was poor. He scored one cracker at Wrexham and 2 toe poeks at Oldham. Other than that a player imho stopped us seeing Ryan Peters emerge quicker!

Hopefully he will fit some team's requirements.

He did score 4 crucial goals and was instrumental in getting us to the Playoffs so short term he was a success.

In the longer term it has not worked out and the wages and 2 year contract are a millstoine we can well do without.

I think he could have been useful for us, but with Rhodes looking sharp and our injuries clearing up we don't really need him.

He scored important goals last year but hasn't started well and we could do with a lower wage bill.

As for criticising Martin's decision to sign him, will someone please show me the manager who has never made a mistake in signing players? The key is to make sure you get some good ones as well as the poor ones, and I think Martin has done this well - Sodje and Turner to name but two.

Never really thought he was up to it, was worth giving a go although a 2yr contract was a bit excessive, Fitz himself never really looked interesting in putting in the extra effort to make a go of it though.. At least MA doesn't mess about when he realises he's made a mistake..

I know people have got issues over MA overspending (??) on his budget but I think he is the best manger we have had for many a year..............but he either cannot identify and/or coach forwards. Owusu was doing it for reading last year in a higher division, Burton is doing it this year, Fitz did it at Watford what is the answer???? Do we need a forward coach?
