Always came across as a lovely guy. Even when engaging/ setting you straight on his favourite topics, you could tell he had a twinkle in his eye whilst typing it. He taught me to think ( most times) before posting on here.

My doubts for them is that Rowett never really sees anything through. Had Birmingham flying but left. At the time I thought he was unfairly dumped but by all accounts he turned down a new contract on the table. He was also batting his eyelids at Derby. Most likely did the same thing at Derby and jumped ship to Stoke. That club needs to readapt to the times. Its still rooted in the Pulis years. He's got a huge job there to sort them out. And I don't think he's the man to do it

On similar lines Daniel Finklestein in today's Times has us as third favourites for direct promotion with 29.7% chance behind Villa on 37.5% and West Brom on 31.1% - presumably written before last night's result.
