fixture change frustration

i see we've change some more fixtures so we don't clash with internationals. that's fine, but why always go to friday nites? i think it would benefit the attendance figures if clubs went to sundays as there aren't the work commitments that mean many have to take holiday. and getting to brighton on a friday nite in the traffic is going to be a marvellous journey innit?

my employer is a good old stick and very accommodating(!) but i can't keep fecking off to away games hoping no-one will notice!

Yeah, it's a pity Bees fans won't get the chance of a day out in Brighton. But the Withdean is a council facility so Sundays may not be an option for them. Local athletics club, american football, police dog displays, sky-diving Elvises etc.

Hang on lads.

Some of us work on Sundays so prefer a Friday night if there is no alternative.

However, travelling to Brighton in the Friday traffic will be as bad as travelling to Colchester on a Friday.

If fixtures are to be changed because of internationals then let's not arrange any matches for those days.

As always, the fans are the last to be considered!

Who are you ?

Must agree though,Sunday Footie or B & Q ?
Dunno,I'll come back to you :)

PG,can you let us know why the games are on Fridays ?

I agree this is really annoying. Especially since Cardiff and Brighton are likely to be two of the best days out next season.

Where are the fixture changes published? They don't appear to be on the club site.

TRhe one that really anoyed me was the Northampton home game being moved from December 22nd to Friday 21st.

Why play the game on the last Friday before Christams when all working blokes with partner passouts will be out with their mates/ colleagues trying to snog Christmas Totty.

Surley the game should have been on the Saturday so that men can bring their kids to footie and get them out of their mothers hair (allowing them to purchase theirxzmas pressies).

With the smaller kids tucked up in bed and the young males on their pre season lash with their work colleagues surley the attendance must be lower than if the game was on the Saturday.

I doubt he'll get a train back to Bucks on a Friday night, I might be able to from Luton, is Brighton station the correct stop?

I think the ground is nearer Preston Park station, nay if it even isn't round the corner from it (I have a vague knowledge of Brigthon geography - I don't tend to go there TOO often, know whaddamean?)

I think you can get to Milton Keynes from Brighton by train...

fixture change frustration

ground is 1 mile from preston park and 2 and half from brighton.
been down to the ground recently and its a sh1thole stadium(???) with only 1 pub within a mile walk and no parking for mile radius.
right bundle of laughs the locals are!!!(poshest part of town)...........enjoy!!

Voice, you going to this one?

fixture change frustration

most definetly(as long as junior voice 2 hasnt arrived a day earlier!!), probably make an early afternoon arrival on the seafront and 'ave it' with the Portslade Mafia........!!

fixture change frustration

its a cab ride away from the seafront.the ground only holds room for 35 away supporters though so may try and get in the home end.
