That's cos it was over for you by turn five
. I thought it was ok some reasonable mid field stuff kept it entertaining... Massa should have been allowed passed Alonso catch webber bridging the gap for Alonso and then move out of the way at the appropriate time... That would have improved viewing

Something about Vettel which seems to make him very ordinary.
Has won 4 in a row, but these have been at souless, corporate circuits such as Singapore, Korea and now India. Throw in P1 at Bahrain earlier on in the season and it all appears a bit meh.
Would prefer Alonso to take the championship.

Wondering re the comments re "dirty air from the car in front" when one car was close to another one - the b1oody awful smog covering the entire racetrack complex looked a lot dirtier :yuck:

I agree about the souless, corporate circuits like Singapore, Bahrain, Korea and India and it has been a bugbear of mine for years. The Tillkedromes have, by and large, been a real let-down.
To me, and F1 Racing magazine, the classics are Monaco, Silverstone, Spa and Monza. Vettel has won all of them as have Hamilton and Schumacher.
Alonso (Spa) and Raikkonen (Monza) are both on three.
I disagree about Vettel. I wouldn't say a potential triple world champion is ordinary, and I think only car failure/accidents will stop him now. The Ferrari hasn't been the fastest car for most of the season (only Valencia, GB and Germany has it had raw pace) but Alonso has been superb. I think Alonso has been the best driver this season but Vettel/Red Bull is the best driver/car combination.

Fair enough. Those stats provide pretty firm evidence that Vettel ain't as ordinary as I made out!
Equally, it's what makes Hamilton so frustrating at the same time lol

Admittedly, Vettel has only really won in the best car. I don't think you win (probably) three back to back titles without being something special. In my opinion, his best win was his first. Monza 2008, in the rain, in a Toro Rosso.

Has the potential to be as boring as hell, but todays race has been one of the best this season, probably due to the low expectation.
Incredible drive by Vettel, masterful drive from Raikkonen. Webber eventually managing to get himself out of the race on the third attempt and Hamilton gracious in disaster.
Don't quite know whats going on with Button, he seems to have lost his racing mojo.

David coultard struggling with the swearing during the interviews was funny... Sebestian has clearly decided to speak in his second language... Then getting Rose water poured over him.. I went over there when vettel won his first title and anyone who has been there will know what a hypocritical place it is when it comes to drinking booze and woman...

Ferrari broke the seal on Massa's gearbox (five place penalty), purely so Alonso could move onto the clean side of the grid. Legal? Yes. Right thing to do from their perspective? Yes. Sporting? No.
Fantastic performance from Hamilton. Don't know what Vettel was moaning about re the overtake.
Title showdown in Brazil. Relatively easy permutations as well.
Vettel (13 points ahead - effectively 14 as he would win on most race wins if points are level) will win the title if:
He finishes in the top four
Alonso doesn't finish on the podium
Alonso will win the title if:
He wins and Vettel is fifth or lower
He finishes second and Vettel is eighth or lower
He finishes third and Vettel finishes 10th or lower.

A great first few laps. This GP has everything, rain, spinning and a bit of bumper cars and everything to play for. Vettel having to do some serious work. Alonso has a great wing man in Massa.

What a great race, not easily forgettable.
The wingmen played a good part, and Massa must take the plaudits for his work today. Button played it very well and had a bit of gift, but still a good drive.
As for Vettel, he took his time and it payed off.
Roll on 2013 season.

lol exactly same as me mate!! Only 15p a point but it was about 20 seconds difference (times five as you know) so a massive change! I can now sell out for a 1680p profit but may aswell keep it running for the last leg lottery

Ferrari are considering an appeal. There are claims that Vettel, footage on YouTube, overtook Verne whilst the race was still under a 'yellow flag', which is not allowed. If proven, Vettel would receive a 20 second penalty, therefore finishing low enough for Alonso to win the F1 world title by 1 point! They have until 30 November to appeal.

very strange, i only watched a bit on streams before giving up (couldn't get a good connection), but they talked about this briefly during the broadcast. but BBC is now saying it wasn't in the "main global feed" during the race :scratch:
you'd have thought they could've sorted it on the day. it'd surely be a bit of a hollow victory at this point....

From the clip it seems pretty obvious he broke the rules and should get a 20 second penalty. I am sure if a Caterham had done it they would of already received the penalty by now, however as it is Red Bull and the much loved Vettel the FIA won't do anything. The only issue could be that it is Ferrari making the complaint and they have a lot of influence in the FIA.

All adds to an anti-climax of the season. The race/season didn't deserve a safety car finish. Right call to throw the SC out of course.
Well done Vettel. Three in a row is tough. Alonso, with that Ferrari, had no right to run him as close as he did - superb driving all year.
An entertaining season, by and large. Favourite moment, for me, was singing God Save The Queen and waving the Union Jack on the Monza pit straight after Lewis Hamilton won.
