New regs are horrible. Unfortunately the pinnacle of motorsport is now all about the car.

In my opinion, the swing has now gone too far. Its now a primarily a constructors championship. Drivers championship secondary.

If you want to see who the best driver is, give them more power than grip. Simple.

My divvy bet aside, I am not sure what to make of this first race. Seemed very unpredictable to begin with, some mad speed differentials at different parts of the circuit, but seemed to settle down. Reserving judgement until I have seen more.

The first 10 laps were interesting. Then it was...not. So not much different.

Ferrari actually started well but then messed up strategy wise as usual .

Also Verstappen obviously had to start from the back but usually he would be competitive.

Usual madness from Ferrari, even Hamilton commented one of them should have pitted. They threw it away.

I've watched the three races so far, to say I'm unimpressed is putting it mildly. Clipping, yo-yo overtakes, coasting to charge batteries for the straights, made a mess of qualifying, they sure screwed up with the tech rules.
Worst of all the TP of Mercedes and Ferrari describing the racing as a show. Kissing Liberties ass in the proper manner.
I'm done with F1. I'll leave it to the 99.9 % crowd.

ELMS and WEC are starting up this month.
Stroll is going to run in GT3 during the break.

I hope Sky get some of their billion back over their TV 5 year deal, now that F1 is ' adjusting ' the power unit for 2027.
They got it wrong big time and admitted it with the change.
Not to worry though as the head honchos of F1 has said " 99 .9% wouldn't know the difference with the new PU changes" This is the type moronic statement that F1 that is applied to the new F1 DTS crowd.

They mentioned on the radio commentary, when talking about all the time penalties for Speeding in the Pit Lane, that the limit at Monaco is 60 MOH, but on other tracks it's 80. I'm not up on all the technical side of things, but maybe some of the teams forgot to set the limiters to the correct speed.

Maybe but I often chuckle to myself that a sport the prides itself on detail and often the smallest of details manages to f*** things up so royally quite often through over looking important details… such as Russell not serving his 5 second penalty today in the pits costing him so many points.

Tricky situation to make a decision in milliseconds. I don't think you can compare it to taking 3 years to make a planning decision that was so pointlelss that it then gets overriden on appeal anyway.

This wasn’t a millisecond decision.

Also I assume the planning scenario you refer to was one where councillors elected by the great unwashed to represent them made the decision rather than a high trained hygiene speacialist

Unfortunately the pension package, holiday and sick leave entitlements offered were a long way short of my expectations so had to turn it down.
