Yes, yesterday. Played during WW2 for the Bees 1943/44. Therefore, the only people to have possibly seen him play on here will be very old! ;)

He's named in the Brentford team here. :)

Yes. Remember him well as a 'guest' player during the War. At that time most players were in the forces and tended to get games with teams near to where they were stationed. A very good and popular 'midfield' player - as we would say now.

David good to see you post. Everything working OK? Beer?

I notice that in the previous game, Leslie Smith had been deemed 'too queer to play'. One wonders how this was measured ...

Frank Soo was in the England team versus Belgium in 1946, which I believe was the 1st international after the war. I'll have to check my programme but I believe that he pulled out injured before the start. Wonderful memory for someone in their eighties.

Thanks Paul, memory not so good after all. This is the match that I recollect although no mention of Soo.

So we have Soo & Mee played for Brentford
Can anymore be added to get the full set ?

I don't see any problem with trying to get those who played during the wartime internationals recognised. If your peak was 14-19 or 39-45 and the best of your career was lost in the war years. Don't know how many players only made war time appearances, but don't think its the biggest crime in the world to seek recognition for them.
