In amongst everything else, forgot that I got drug searched on entering the ground yesterday cos one of the dogs got very interested in me for some reason.

All done very politely and when I got to the table, one of the lads whispered, don't worry mate, I'm from Brentford. Still did the necessary but it was nice to feel like was in safe hands.

Heres my bothered face ;)
I don't look at it that way. You want passion in the game and it doesn't come from stadiums full of people who don't give a f*** about the teams they're watching. So far, although by no means a cheap day out BFC is affordable for most people and true fans aren't being fleeced. We have MB to thank for that. Long may t continue, but there's a creeping tendency to increase the corporate audience. I use the word deliberately because that's what they are!
The block of seats at £250 a time in the North Stand at the last home game is an example. A f****** golf club jolly boys outing!
So am I bovvered ? Yes, and so should you be !

That main stand is a joke.
I took a moment during the game to glance up to my left and felt pangs of sadness at what I saw. Just hundreds of corporate types, out and out plastics, tourists and a group strange of man-children laughing, joking at what a novelty/riot the whole thing was whilst asking their female companions to film it all.

More normal fans for us then.

Those signs come on Fulham were really embarrassing to look at. The flags up the other end behind the goals looked alright tbf

My brain still doesn’t understand what is going on when entering the Putney end.

Home fans. Away fans. Together. WHATTTTTTT!
Imagine if that was West Ham v Millwall…
…Puts so-called rivalries in to perspective

Bloke I know and his son are ST holders in the Hammersmith end. Close season he got a letter from the club offering to relocate them to the new stand and that his direct debit would remain in place to cover the cost. They were happy enough to move but then found out that the amount taken by DD was triple the cost of their previous STs. Took him ages to get them to swap them back and refund the money. He, and a lot of the old school hate what their club has become.
I walked over Putney Bridge with a couple of Fulham i have known for years and they dont like it either, but they still go.
They both went too Chesterfield on Saturday and absolutely loved it.

Was that you! I saw that happening and wondered if you’d get in ok.

Someone in charge of perimeter signage might need to have a little rethink of their graphics.
On the prowl is probably not quite appropriate at the moment to be flashed up around the ground. View attachment 51104
The Prowl is the name of the bar, restaurant and swimming pool changing rooms area.
The rugby league team will be based in Putney and called the Predators.
Its what he would have wanted.

A fitting tribute.

That was me. Have to say, they were all very polite and it only delayed me by a couple of minutes.
