Anybody know how much they took to newcastle yday?

Not many I gather as Newcastle were able to have their highest attendance of the season by putting home fans where the away fans normally are.

Not sure where the Fulham "following" went , probably managed to sqeeze them all into the dugout.....

I'm playing devils advocate here but does anyone think our away following in the Prem would be any more than Fulhams?

After a couple of seasons visiting the same old grounds again and again, I'm sure our numbers would dwindle to similar amounts.

1st.) Yes.
2nd.) No.

If we do get relegated then we have to bounce back straight away to keep the crowds. It's like anything though, apart from our core 3000 we all know that the rest are going to bugger off if the club are not attractive. Like you lot when you made it into the Championship, where are the 8,000 odd now?

hello c*nt.

are you mates with Jeremy?

:love2:

Now I can't stand fulham either, but I don't think we should be crowing too loud.

Our number at the millenium against Stoke was an absolute disgrace.

It was indeed, but look how many they've taken there.

Jealous!!!

Good to see you're all still crying. You cant compare attendances when we were in diff divisions. You're turn out at the Mill Stad in Cardiff was indeed woeful. Apols for confusion re Blackburn... 200 was what some n0b on talksport said. 600 was what I estimated and 900 (or close to it) was the official figure. Obv we'll lose some of the glory hunters if/when we get relegated but traditionally we've had far greater support than you (even your made up away figures). Go back to bickering with your true rivals (Barnet?). We sold out our allocation at Newcastle, how many of the 4,500 at Grimsby were Brentford... upon seeing the highlights I'd hazard a guess at less than the couple of dozen you took to Morcombe.

I'll leave you girls to start bickering. :fishing:

Aren't we all missing the point?

Andina/Bernie: WHERE WERE YOU ON 1ST JANUARY 1994? We were all in YOUR end, as the away end was closed at 2.30pm 'cos it was too full with Bees. WE WERE THEN PUT IN YOUR OWN STAND, WHICH WE COMPLETELY TOOK OVER. And there were loads of us in the H'smith End too.

Does our total humiliation of you still hurt? Is this why you gob off at us? Like hating a cousin who knows your dirty little secrets? Look mate(s) - this is us you're talking to. We were there when you were a much smaller club than us, we were there when we humiliated you time after time, and we're here now when you are embarassing yourselves by having an away support that is laughed at on live TV.

You KNOW that you're living on borrowed time: you wake up at 3.00am in a cold sweat fearing when the bubble will burst. (Clue: end of this season). Next year you will average 16-19,000 top, year after (when you get relegated) it'll be down to 9-11,000. Thereafter, once your glory-hunters have sneaked off you will be back to your old skool turn out: which is less than us. You know that, we know that, and you know that we know it.

We took the piss that day. I was sat amongst Fulham fans signing that "Fulham are you listening" song. There were pockets of us everywhere and not a word was said to us by anyone, I actually felt sorry for them.
We are not allowed to speak about these sorts of things but their resistance at all of our games was pony and I still think that we would take extract the urine if we played again soon.

Oh yeah, can I just be the first to say that you are going down.:sorted:

I never sing that at grounds as I think it is a really waanky thing to do but I will enjoy saying it to you if that is ok.

I will never forget seeing a shot by Gary Brazil fly over the Hammersmith End met with a sea of ****er signs from several hundred Brentford fans in their home end - incredible.

Legend has it that the few Fulham fans who were singing that day were told to stop and they took the advice and moved on.
I seem to recall about 10 sets of hands going up in the first half and then nothing now it might be a load of bull but a dear friend of mine said he was amongst the guys who asked for a bit of peace and quiet. Very sad fans.

Me and Andy Whitley were sat in the Riverside stand seats, nearest the H'mith, waving merrily to Dave Inman and his lot, singing Bees songs in the middle of their home end  :nono: lol

Andina/Bernie - all gone quiet over there. Saying that, if I were you I would also be quiet and embarrassed/humiliated by this. 'Cos either you were there and continue to hang your head in shame - or you're just another glory hunting clown who doesn't even know your adopted club's history. Either way: rofl .

True. Silly me. Then again, we were in their seats and home end lol I guess they just threw their bonnets from the pram and went home?

Alternatively, Andina and his lickle chums only started following Fulham once Fayed pumped in the cash. You know - like glory hunting clowns.

Fulham support

Why so bitter?

Are you telling me that your own support wouldn't swell if you got your own sugar daddy - on that note how unlucky are you lot at not attracting investment, seems every other West London team does fine in that department! I do get pissed off at some of the JCLs but at the same time being in the premiership has seen a lot of younger supporters many of whom will stick with the team regardless of what division we are in which we simply would not have had if we were still in the basement divisions. I'm not denying that FFC got to the top flight without anything other than heavy investment but historically Fulham are at home in the top two divisions.

As for the whole attendances arguments ----> "Lies, Dam Lies and Statistics"
You can portray them however you want, what I will say is that the decade or so before our recent success Brentford/Fulham attendences were remarkabley similar.

I love the way nostalgia works - some great exaggeration of your 'taking over' of Craven Cottage. I'll admit there were a significant no. of Bees in the home areas that day but it was hardly the wholescale invasion, with our fans quiet as mice, as some on here are portraying it as.

The hardcore Fulham fanbase probably still consider you lot our bitter rivals, mainly due to the banter that still continues (I know Bees who still hark on about your 4-0 win over us - the fact a defeat of that 'tiny' club Fulham is up their with the greatest moments in your history shows how small time you lot really are! :fishing: ) although QPR has more needle for me personally. Fair play, I remember Bees fans collecting to help FFC stay in business outside GP but still doesn't make you seem any less bitter!

"Are you telling me that your own support wouldn't swell if you got your own sugar daddy" No: we'd love somebody to pump millions into our club. This isn't about cash - and you know it.

"How unlucky are you lot at not attracting investment, seems every other West London team does fine in that department!" Indeed. I do wish we could attract the sort of investment you, Chelsea and QPR have received. Maybe one day - who knows?

"I do get pissed off at some of the JCLs". So you are "p*ssed off" with the vast majority of your own fans. Good. At least you are being honest.

"But at the same time being in the premiership has seen a lot of younger supporters many of whom will stick with the team regardless of what division we are in which we simply would not have had if we were still in the basement divisions". Dream on. Are you S E R I O U S L Y suggesting that your new fans would follow the team to Rochdale away in Division 2? YOU DON'T EVEN ACHIEVE A REASONABLE AWAY SUPPORT WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING IN THE PREMIERSHIP NOW.

"I'm not denying that FFC got to the top flight without anything other than heavy investment" Good - you'd have to be mentally unsound to suggest anything else

"But historically Fulham are at home in the top two divisions". Yes. Like 'historically' Burnley are a top flight club.

"As for the whole attendances arguments ----> "Lies, Dam Lies and Statistics". Let's just call them facts

"You can portray them however you want, what I will say is that the decade or so before our recent success Brentford/Fulham attendences were remarkabley similar". No. The facts have already been posted on here. Before Alfayed's cash cow started producing milk, we got bigger gates than you. 100% truth with added fact.

"I love the way nostalgia works - some great exaggeration of your 'taking over' of Craven Cottage. I'll admit there were a significant no. of Bees in the home areas that day but it was hardly the wholescale invasion, with our fans quiet as mice, as some on here are portraying it as". A deliberate, calculated and provocative lie. In the parlance of the 70s, we 'took' your ground. FFS - we were sitting in YOUR seats in the Riverside waving to hordes of mates in your H'smith End. Just get over the abject humiliation and move on, for Crissakes. This is US you are talking to, not some Premisership message board where you can spin tales of old. WE WERE THERE, IN YOUR GROUND, EVERYWHERE, AND YOU DID NOTHING. NADA. RIEN. MOVE ON.

"The hardcore Fulham fanbase probably still consider you lot our bitter rivals, mainly due to the banter that still continues (I know Bees who still hark on about your 4-0 win over us - the fact a defeat of that 'tiny' club Fulham is up their with the greatest moments in your history shows how small time you lot really are! :fishing: )" NO - YOU WERE THEN OUR VERY REAL RIVALS AND WE BATTERED YOU SENSELESS AT HOME. WE THEN WENT ON TO WIN THE LEAGUE AS CHAMPIONS.

"Fair play, I remember Bees fans collecting to help FFC stay in business outside GP but still doesn't make you seem any less bitter!" We are not bitter one bit. THIS WHOLE THREAD IS ENTITLED "FULHAM SUPORT". Read it properly: it's about us mocking the fact that, for all your pretensions, WE have a bigger away support in Division 2 than YOU have in the Premiership. Just accept it, and watch Ceefax on Saturday hoping you don't get stuffed by Derby.
