88 all out becomes 89-9.
Smith bowled off a no ball.

Innings and 132 runs defeat in 2 days and 2 sessions :ROFLMAO:

Great Test Match going on between India and Australia, but you'd expect that when the second and third best Test teams in the World are involved.

General Cricket Thread

Australia collapse from 85-2 to 113 all out meaning India require 115 to win, you love to see it ?

General Cricket Thread

India cruise to a 6 wicket win. Looks like Warner has concussion and a broken arm so will be going home.

Can highly recommend watching the parade of dismissals in the Australian second innings. :sorted:

Any other sad old git watching the women’s T20 vs Pakistan?
Had it all this first innings, plenty of 6’s & 4’s, 5 runs for hitting equipment, full tosses hitting the English batter and over 10 per over ?

Edit
and walking off to Hey Jude!

I am that sad git!

Impressive batting from the ladies, but the bowling and fielding wasn't a lot to write home about most of the time.

If Pakistan win from 15-3, it'll be rather more than a minor miracle.

General Cricket Thread

Nearer 41 than 40 but James Anderson is currently ranked best in the world. Pretty amazing really.

I've watched bits and pieces and kept up with all the games via BBC so far. WFH on Friday so will have the semifinal v SA on in the background probably.

This chase by India against Australia is getting very tasty.

India need 40 from 32 but Harmanpreet Kaur’s bat has just got stuck in the ground and she’s been run out!

5 wickets left.

Australia win by 5 runs.

Kaur’s runout probably cost India. She was 52 from 34 and looking comfortable.

England women’s T20 semi vs South Africa is a great game right now. SA despite a slow start, they turned on the burners and got to 165
England in reply have got off to a flyer hitting 10 per over in first 5 overs but just lost the their first 2 wickets in 3 balls .. going to be a good finish!

England 137-5 and need 28 from 17

Katherine Sciver-Brunt owes her team mates a huge apology after this - shouting at them in the field which was disrespectful, 18 runs conceded in the last over which is probably going to be the difference at the end of the game and now a first ball duck with the bat.

14 required off 7

Pressure has got too much, stand straight, head still and wallop but hard under pressure

General Cricket Thread

153-8. 12 needed from 3.

She’s always like it when it’s tight tbh

SA win by 6 runs - that 18th over proved the difference for SA bowling attack

All over. SA win by 6 runs.

Well they f***ed that up. :(

Absolutely awful during the SA innings, so much legside bowling

Really enjoying the brass band that randomly strikes up during the SA v WI test match?
Name that tune?

Apologies for not yet bringing to your attention that the European Cricket League kicked off again yesterday - the Estonian champions are currently batting against the German champions in a T10 over in Spain. Various groups of 5 take place over the course of three days apiece, with each of the group winners plus last year's champs playing together in a final group of 7.

You can follow it at ecn.cricket and on their excellent youtube channel: https://youtube.com/@europeancricketnetwork

Hornchurch are representing England, they're in the group that's currently playing. Our Czech champs, Brno, start in 9 days, in a group with the champions of Scotland, France, Finland and our neighbours Austria - tough draw!

India currently 54-3 in their second innings, still 34 runs behind Australia.

76 for the Aussies to win tomorrow. 11-99 for Lyon for the match.

Meanwhile back in Spain, Hornchurch just about got through their group, winning the final against the Greek champs. Group B started today, with the champions from Netherlands, Jersey, Denmark, Bulgaria and Malta fighting for that precious spot in finals week...

Listening to reports of the ongoing racism case involving Yorkshire, Vaughan etc it sounds an absolute circus with claims, counter claims, interpretations of actions, lip reading etc. Lawyers must be earning an absolute fortune and nobody coming out with much credit

I've got tickets to the World Test Championship at the Oval in June.
Currently it looks like it could be India vs Australia. Australia have already sealed a spot.

India need to win the series 3-1 to guarantee their spot - doesn't look like that is going to happen given the placid nature of the pitch in the 4th test.

Which means Sri Lanka could nip in - Sri Lanka need to win their series in New Zealand 2-0 - and currently they are in the box seat in that test match.

Although I would not normally root for India - I'd prefer to watch India vs Australia over Sri Lanka vs Australia.

General Cricket Thread

No way are Sri Lanka one of the best two sides in test cricket. :D
Agreed, the nature of the World Test Championship is totally flawed. I'd much prefer having a World Test Championship world cup - and play one off test matches in a knock-out style format in a single country over a period of a month.
