Because they are not in the England white ball squad. Absolutely crazy to have the T20 finals day at the same time as an Eng vs Aus T20 series. They could have picked any other weekend during the season.

As has been mentioned before, there is just not enough days in the English Summer.

They want it to fail.

They have ruined the test schedule. The t20 blast and the one day cup for a tournament that most cricket fans didn't want.

Rob Keys comments last week were pathetic. When he said that people didn't want kids to be happy.

No that's not the case. We are pissed off that you have ruined everything else for a format that no one cares about. We are pissed off that having not spent anything on promoting other forms of cricket, you have put everything behind this.

It is pathetic that there is no cricket to watch for the majority of August. As I have no interest in that sh*te and the one day cup is now a 2nd/3rd xi competition.

The Hundred wasn't needed and it has ruined every other competition.

On the off chance that Rob Key reads. Yes I f***ing hate it. I will never watch it and I hope it f***ing bombs. Because it's f***ing sh*te.

Obviously I want kids to enjoy cricket, but how about making test cricket more reasonably priced. As they would have loved the last Ashes series as it was great.

Good fight back from India in their test against Bangladesh.

Top order failed (except Jaiswal who is some talent) and excellent century from Ashwin with a great partnership with Jadeja.

Kohli and Rohit need to let go of their ego and play domestic red ball cricket before test series especially if they have not played this format for months. It was odds on they both would fail in the first test.

Only 80 overs bowled - hugely disappointing again.

Decent test match going on between SL and NZ. SL lead by 8 runs with 9 wickets left in the 2nd innings.

William O’Rourke looks a decent find for NZ.

Sri Lanka in the driving seat against NZ. 202 runs ahead with 6 wickets left.

Tomorrow is actually for some strange reason a rest day. Brought back memories when test matches started in England on a Thursday and Sunday used to be a rest day. Can't remember the last time a test match cricket had a rest day.

In other news SA getting smashed against Afghanistan in their 2nd ODI international after being firmly smashed in the first ODI. Will take them decades to overcome the loss to India in the T20 WC final :cool:

In other cricket news - India well ahead in their test match against Bangladesh and Bumrah is just at the top of his game. Watching him bowling is watching one of the true greats of any era. Best all formatted bowler in the world by a country mile. Kohli another failure after failing to review a lbw that he hit. Oh dear. I know the Australia away series coming up is huge for India but as I said yesterday they should not be using these matches against Bangladesh as practice matches. Both needed to play some domestic red ball cricket.

Afghanistan take the second ODI against South Africa by 177 runs, having won the first by six wickets.
Not that much of a weak SA side, so a fantastic result for Afghanistan.

Just to go back to Rishabh Pant - his first test match back after that horrific injury (although he only has himself to blame for that) and to score a century was just wonderful. He is the x-factor for India as Adam Gilchrist was for Australia. There was a passage of play this morning where he told the Bangladesh team where to place their fielders for him.

I do say Bangladesh are a half decent outfit and probably the 2nd best asian team at the moment. You can see why they just won a test series in Pakistan.

Will be costly to watch the England v India test match series next summer for many I suspect. Expect Oval may have similar prices. Not yet checked the pricing for other venues. Sadly test match cricket in England is gradually pricing fans out and this will be a cracking series.

He's good enough, in fact having watched them both for Surrey I would say he's a better bowler than Atkinson.

That being said I'm not sure he would actually want to play for England.

I didn't realise as I haven't seen them. England will surely pick him then? I've watched spells where he has the ball on a string, I don't think the Indian batters would enjoy facing him in English conditions.

Yes a player that has never played a test match that will turn 34 next year, coupled with Woakes who will be 36 and Mark Wood who will be 35 by the time the test series against India starts.

Facing retiring Anderson to bring in a 33 year old Aussie.

Never. But I am 100% sure that Indian batsmen won't be losing sleep over a 33 year old who has never played test match cricket and was discarded very early by Australia as not good enough.

Not sure a broadcaster will pick it up. Sky’s business model probably indicates what they will pay for it they won’t attract sufficient new subscribers to cover the costs. Perfect opportunity for BBC to pick it up but not sure they will as they have probably used their cricket budget on The Hundred.
