Just accept you're wrong for once and stop being so arrogant.
They were three cheap wickets, especially the third. Les wasn't slating the Lad, just mentioned the same thing i did. HTH

Do you really think any England supporter doesn't want him to succeed?!

On a lighter note, Indian went to the wrong club in Manchester IMO.

Always mixed feelings when I see these sort of things.

On the one hand, it’s so nice to see these guys as likeable, normal blokes

On the other hand, I want top level sport to be ultra competitive and “disliking” the other team/players makes wanting them to lose much easier ?

Could you host this in India/ Australia in June/July?
You're leaving it to chance though. If the WTC is between Australia and South Africa in India , you wouldn't get massive crowds. You can always guarantee a decent crowd in England, regardless of who's playing. Downside of the UK though is the crowds would be much bigger if a competing team was the host.

Why does it have to be in June / July ? Global tournaments in those countries are normally Jan/Feb - so just move the final to a different date, can't be that hard
If Sri Lanka somehow ended up playing New Zealand no large neutral ground in the world will sell that out you would have to give tickets away pretty much.

Wonderful win for India’s women winning the ODI series against ??????? after already winning the T20 series ???

General Cricket Thread

All over within 2 days (157 overs to be exact.........) at Taunton as Somerset win by 5 wickets............

General Cricket Thread

Somerset really can't win can they.
9 of 10 1st innings wickets went to seam bowlers. All 10 in the 2nd innings went to spinners.
Perhaps Durham were just sh*t?
Or maybe the wicket was equally sh*t to bat on against seam and spin.

Somerset also lost 15 wickets in fewer than 70 overs.

I was at the last county game v Notts and the wicket looked the same in a 4 day draw. Perhaps the recent rain made the track sweat under the covers???
And Somerset are well known county wide for their batting collapses.

Perhaps the groundsman's wife went into labour and he forgot to cut, roll or water the pitch ?

Test cricket in August!

I think we can assume from that schedule that the hundred is probably going to be played in late July/early August. I wonder how they'll move the county schedule around.

I am guessing that this is the earliest ever Oval Test in Modern History

It was always the last match of the summer for years

England v New Zealand

Wednesday 17 June: 2nd Rothesay Test – The Oval

Ha I’ve been banned from posting on the India v England thread ?
How come ?. Did i miss it all kicking off as all seems very civilised on there with you making the last post just before 11pm last night. I mean, it's not as if you could be gloating any time soon ?

Free the Indian Bee. I know he gets under your skin at times but he's good entertainment value and I like a passionate 'enemy'
I didn't ban him. Bit OTT tbh. I'll take it up with admin.

Now fixed @Indian Bee but could we try and have an evening that doesn't end up with 30 posts deleted. Applies to all involved in the "conversation".
