Firstly I hope you are all feeling great and looking forward to the challenges ahead. You've made a few shrewd signings so imo you will be fine - easily mid table !.

Anyway, we have just completed the signing of George Saville for around £1m. Have we got ourselves a good deal or not. We have possibly our best midfield in over thirty years at the moment so this could be interesting.

What are the thoughts of you bees fans, many of you would have seen him play last season so can he do a good job for us at a higher level ?.

I'm sure you don't mean any offence but you really need to ask that?

I think you have, strangely it appears that we weren't interested and you can thank Whelan for a being a dick as to why he isn't at Wigan.

In my opinion his technique is top notch, very comfortable on the ball and rarely wastes possession. He had a very decent season last year in League One but is as yet unproven at Championship level and may be considered by some to be a bit "lightweight" for the rigours of a very demanding and physical Championship. Relatively speaking a fee of £1million is small change to a club your size so could turn out to be a decent 'punt'.
Perhaps our manager felt he was a bit "big time charlie" and there were certainly rumours that he was on very very good money at Chelski so perhaps that's why we passed up the opportunity to sign him?

Good deal. Would have loved to see young Georgie back in the red and white stripes this Season but, by all accounts, we wouldn't afford his wages. Exciting young player with much potential whom I suspect you will sell on for considerably more than £1mil.

Good player. "daft as a brush" off the pitch. Had some great games for us although went off the boil towards the end of last season.

Good player himleywolf. It will be interesting where he slots in for you as your midfield is very solid. Great ball player and puts in a shift when it is needed. He has an eye for goal too. One weakness of his though is that he can be rash and will pick up a fair few bookings

Was gutted we didn't sign him as he looks a great prospect and did well during his time with us.He looked like a skinny 15 year old when he first joined on loan but got stronger and ended up regularly getting booked for late and dangerous tackles. He was lucky to stay on the field a few times but sure your manager will sort that out.If you got him for 1million then you have a bargain a good all round midfielder who has goals in him.

Decent player at League 1 level. Championship? Not sure. Would probably only be a "squad player" here and probably destined to be so at Molyneux. Possibly rather over-priced at £1m.

Do we need two threads on this subject?
