Gillingford

I heard on the radio today that several other league clubs including some "well known" clubs have been implicated in the report alleging financial irregularities at Gillingham.

Bearing in mind the number of transfers between us and Gillingham during the stewardship of a certain Mr W£bb, I assume we are one of these clubs.

It would be nice to think W£bby may get some sort of comeuppance but not if it means us getting dragged into the mire as well.

Though one must be careful not to allege any wrongdoing on anyone's behalf I thought exactly the same thing - if other clubs are alleged to be involved it would be no surprise if Brentford were one of them. However, as well as potential allegations about Webb could there also be problems for players and Brentford as a club as well?

IB, the same thought sprang straight into my mind. Apparently, Brighton are also involved, as they complained about their payments for the use of Priestfield

I imagine every club who dealt with Gillingham in that period would be involved. As we had alot of dealings with them we will probably be involved. Especially as the fees looked suspiciously low at the time.

West Ealing - if you think the fees with Gillingford were low, wot happens when they investigate Oxford Utd and see only £125k for Scott and Quinn ?

If we are involved, hopefully the FA will deam that we were sufficiently punished by our relegation to the third and tale pity on the true supporters. There is no way that Brentford FC benifited from a certain FEB control.
